Not updating on here much, as the algorithms don't ever seem to smile on me.... most of the action is on Youtube these days! Anyway, here is the tune Shave the Donkey that I recorded with the fantastic Helen Bell a few weeks ago - there is more of this in the works!

My first review! In the Arco magazine put out by the European String Teachers Association, more describing than evaluating but I’ll take it!

Here’s a version of Highland Mary from one of the fantastic Dave Townsend books, a little different from the various Morris versions as it has a sometimes-flattened 7th. Bit of a new favourite, though I’m not about how I started it… anyone have any new favourites at the mo?

Something a bit different for this - here's a video I made with Adrian Lever - Guitar & Tambura during lockdown, I'm seeing him next week so this popped into my head! It's a tune I wrote for my parents and it's called Kinley.

Roman Wall - I can't remember where I learned this tune but it's one of my favourites! Just off to Shrewsbury Folk Festival to play for some Morris, who else is at a festival this weekend?

It's ! And if that's not a thing, then I'm making it a thing.

Here's Enfield Wash, a tune collected in John Johnson's "Choice Collections of 200 Favorite Country Dances" vol.8, from 1758. I learnt this from the fantastic fiddler Tom Newell, please forgive my slightly disheveled appearance, I'm still a bit covid-y round the edges!
