Due to increased demand from schools we require new team members for our 'after school club' term time teaching assistant roles. This will specifically be in Rainham, Enfield, Ramford, Ilford.
*Term-time - must be available to deliver classes between 3:30pm & 4:30pm. From 1 day per week - up to 5 days per week*
Optional Saturday workshops may become available too.
As we expand, many more opportunities such as holiday clubs and in-school workshops are becoming available.
Requirements:
DBS certificate (Enhanced) is required for this job! (we can help with this)
Having use of your own transport is necessary!
ComputerXplorers is an exciting and growing brand delivering fun, educational, technology-led extra-curricular sessions in local schools.
· Are you currently working as a teaching assistant, or as an NQT or experienced teacher in a school, or volunteering with children but want additional part-time work leading your own class?
OR
· Would you like to work in a primary school and gain classroom experience as a teaching assistant? Would you like term time work? No formal teaching qualification necessary.
- Are you retired from teaching, looking for part-time work as a teacher.
ComputerXplorers are searching for top quality people to lead their fun computing and IT clubs in primary schools. Initially working 1 - 5 sessions per week in our after school sessions. You would be paid for 1.5 hours for each session you teach. We will also pay £0.15 towards petrol costs for each mile covered in your car.
Progression opportunities may exist to work through the school day, covering PPA time or leading our full-day workshops. Opportunities for weekend clubs and holiday clubs may become available too, as we are expanding quickly.
We want you to deliver our active and exciting computer lessons in after school clubs and show children a much broader range of skills than simply MS Office!
Programming, 3D Design, game based learning & digital animation are among the many STEM courses we run for 4 - 11 year olds.
You should be a confident & enthusiastic computer user but don’t need to be an IT expert. We will give you all the training required and supply our own detailed lesson plans.
Your classroom management and ability to engage with children are the key skills we are looking for!
You must have experience working with children and the ability to think quickly and work independently.
We require teaching assistants in all areas of North and North East London due to increasing demand from schools for our services. You may have to bring equipment to schools therefore having your own transport is essential.
Interested in joining a great team and making a difference in the education of children?
We look forward to hearing from you!
