The Big Ask: Education | Children's Commissioner for England 29/04/2022

The Big Ask was the biggest consultation ever with children in England. Over half a million children aged 4-17 responded.

Dame Rachel de Souza DBE, The Children’s Commissioner reveals in her foreword,
‘If adults are to learn one thing from this report, it should be as follows. This is not a ‘snowflake generation’. It is a heroic generation…..Bruised, yes and in many cases seriously vulnerable, but for the most part, happy, optimistic, and determined.’

The most frequent word used by children in their responses to the Big Ask survey was…..
‘Play’.

We as adults need to take note of our children’s voice and develop a sense of empathy.

Well how do we do this with our own daily struggles? Well we think it’s time to listen and it’s time to play.
