My name is Eugenia and I'm a professional violinist, flutist and music teacher. I decided to create a Music Transformation project as a way of supporting everyone who wants to master a music instrument regardless of their age and experience. It's also aiming to create the most inspiring and effective music programmes which are affordable! If you had experience of playing as a child or you wanted to pick up an instrument as an adult, or if you want your kids to learn a new skill or your child expressed their interest in learning music - these classes are for you!

A little bit about myself: I'm a professional musician and music teacher with more than 10 years of experience. I work with kids and adults of all ages and teach more than 600 students every week individually, in groups and ensembles.

Music Transformation is a unique curriculum created based on years of my professional training as a performer and experience as an educator. The lessons are running in small groups so that there's enough individual feedback while the process is fun as we're learning in a supportive friendly environment.
You receive my pre-recorded videos weekly to support and complement your home practice and all the learning materials are included into the course. If you don't have your own instrument Music Transformation is happy to support you with that too!

There's an opportunity to work 1:1 as well.

Music Transformation

Apart from teaching traditional instrumental lessons, I work with musicians as a Healthy Posture and Technique coach 🎻🧘🏻‍♀️ The goal of these sessions is to assess and eliminate any postural issues, sources of access tension and compensatory mechanisms in playing technique. This is a unique instrumental session which goes beyond the format of the traditional music class. We cover everything from setting yourself up mentally for the most efficient practice/performance to developing high motor control, understanding of biomechanics and the role of kinetic chain in playing, developing of neutral effortless posture and getting a freedom of conveying artistic ideas through achieving a higher level of awareness and mind-body connection.

💪🏻Playing instruments is a highly demanding activity both mentally and physically. Professional musicians have the same regimen of training as sportsmen, however we use a lot of smaller muscles that were not designed for such intense prolonged use. Unfortunately, that increases the risk of injury dramatically. Seeing injuries in my teachers, peers, colleagues and developing overuse injuries myself in the past pushed me to start learning about anatomy, healthy lifestyle, functional exercising and somatic methods and after years of research and professional training I developed my own method of Healthy Instrumental Playing.

🎓 Today I am a member of Association for Body Mapping Education (somatic practice method based on Alexander Technique for musicians), Performing Arts Medicine Association, Laban-Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, leading sports and movement associations CIMSPA and EREPS. My practice as musician and music educator is also informed by Feldenkrais - a somatic method which allows to find freedom and efficiency of movement and Pilates that promotes body awareness.

✅At the end of last year I decided to further my knowledge and completed two certified courses by Performing Arts Medicine Association for music educators and allied health professionals in injury prevention and healthy instrumental practice. The course involved the latest studies in the field and comprehensive system of posture assessment, analysis of movement patterns and general lifestyle to address existing pain/injuries and prevent occurrence of potential problems. It was a great source of new knowledge!

❕This is definitely not the last step on this journey and I started my own research in this field last year at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in partnership with a few professionals organizations. I developed conditioning programmes for musicians based on my experience as a qualified exercise practitioner and Pilates teacher. When I realized that regular fitness and conditioning classes are not always suitable for musicians, don't work with music related issues and can create potential risks for musician's hands, I decided to put my knowledge as a professional player, music teacher and exercise expert together to create a comprehensive programme. It helps to address the most common problems in musicians, help to build strength in muscles stabilizers to support power muscles and prevent their overuse.

✨I hope to share my knowledge with as many interested people as possible and educate more professional musicians, music teachers and students on seeing their bodies as an important part in the music making process and even a part of their instrument. I want to help them to find harmony within their own bodies and minds to express their art with no limits!

Hi, my name is Eugenia and I'm a professional violin and flute player and teacher. Music is what I devoted my whole life to and it's my eternal love and passion! I see my mission in sharing this beautiful experience with others. Being able to play music is an amazing gift, but helping others to open this beautiful world is very special for me that's why I love teaching so much!

I have a big experience of performing and I've been teaching kids and adults for more than 10 years. I work for a few leading London music education companies and have training in different music programmes/methods. I work with students of different ages and levels. My smallest student was just 2,5y.o. and oldest around 68y.o. I teach 1:1, in pairs and small groups, run ensembles and orchestra sessions which is over 600 students in total. I'm also delivering Andrew Lloyd Webber classical music programme to high school students and adults.

Currently, I'm working on a research in Healthy
Posture, Body Awareness and Injury Prevention in Instrumental Playing at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in partnership with numerous professional associations and organizations. I have completed a professional certified course for instrumental music educators by Performing Arts Medicine Association to better understand common music related injuries and prevent them in my students. I’m a permanent member of Performing Arts Medicine Association as well as Association for Body Mapping Education (healthy music practice based on Alexander Technique) and Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies.

As a teacher, I want to make a music journey of my students really enjoyable, while getting good and maximum quick results. I prepare for graded exams (ABRSM and Trinity) and competitions and I have enhanced DBS check, safeguarding training and professional music teacher insurance.

Memories from our concert at The Round House this week ✨🎶

What an exciting experience yesterday! We hosted a Together Day for Andrew Lloyd Webber classical music pogramme.

Students had a chance to spend all day playing in the orchestra. 60 of my violin and flute students participated in this event. We had 5 hours of hard work at sectionals and general rehearsal and a wonderful final concert! Well done everyone!

So proud of my violin and flute students who joined MISST - Andrew Lloyd Webber classical music programme this year! I lead the programme for 240 violin and flute students of a high school age and 15 adults (staff members).

It's an amazing feeling to see their weekly progress and discover so many promising talented musicians among them!

I'm extremely happy for 6 best students, who were selected to perform in 11th Anniversary MISST concert this year and can't wait to see their progress in the future years! 😌💖🎶
