After transferring and reshaping (if desired) their letter onto watercolour paper, the teens were given free reign to illustrate their letter as they wished…

New Identity Collage
We looked at the artist focusing on her Gendered Objects, 2019 project.
The teens then collaged their own versions of an alternative person/ identity from magazines - fantastic results

✨Cartoon Silhouette inspired by American artist and designer ‘Outlines’ collection✨
The teens learned a little about KAWS, his background and style. We then looked at his Outlines collection and using bugs bunny as their own outline, they filled it using bold, graphic, cartoon shapes and a pinch of their own style 👌

End of term workshop ✨treat ✨for the teens with jeweller Ange B designs
To create the design for their silver pendant the teens used a craft blade and jeweller’s wax to carve their design. The finished wax piece will then be taken away, cast in solid silver and delivered back to FRESH 👌

It was the hottest day of the year this Friday when the teens had their club 🔥🥵 So we chilled, lights off, a bit of Stevie Wonder and wove some fantastic pieces 🤘
The teens learned how to thread up a peg loom, weave, take it off the loom and secure their piece all in one session!!

For the second half of the Summer Term we welcome back tutor Vicky Saumarez Artist, who will be teaching this block of sessions and jewellery artist Ange B designs who will be running a silver pendant workshop in July.
Carrying on the 'club not classroom' ethos from our established and popular art club for 6–12 year-olds, Fresh - Art Club for Children, FRESH Foundations introduces some more focused art practices into the usual creative mix.

PRINT WEEK!! 🙌
Lino Printing: Week 3 - screw top jar🫙
Using water based block printing inks by Essdee, the FRESH teens had a whole load of fun printing up their jars and playing with multiple colours on a print.
