Choosing the right pencil 0

The way you hold the tool, grip the tool and press on the tool all affect the kinds of lines which are possible.

The lighter the hold the more line variability you can achieve. A ‘Death Grip’ dramatically diminishes options in line variation.

Practically squealing in delight!

Sitting here with Patricio working on the print for the hot stamping for the upcoming PAScribe Viarco 8B Calligraphy Pencil with a 3mm core.

I have learned so much on this process from how subtle variations in clay-graphite ratios change softness and brittleness.

Learning how to sharpen a pencil is also a huge part of this process. I have tried so many sharpeners.

I am so excited about this.
