Information informs. Experience transforms.

Too often, we tell ourselves we don’t have time…

So we step in, we speed things up, we issue an instruction or do it for them.

But in so doing we are taking away the very experiences that help young people grow?

What if we paused instead….
And asked: how can I create the space for them to figure it out for themselves?

Because it’s in the doing, the trying, the getting it wrong and doing it again that confidence is built and real learning happens.

🌟 How Fair Isle Primary School in Scotland empowers students to be more proactive!

At Fair Isle Primary School in Scotland, using Franklin Covey's shared leadership framework () is helping students take ownership of their own learning and bring their school values to life creating a truly inclusive culture— every day.

In a recent HMI inspection report, the school was praised for its welcoming, inclusive ethos and for using a clear leadership framework to empower pupils to take ownership of their own learning. Staff actively connect the school’s values to the 7 Habits — helping children understand what responsibility, initiative, and collaboration look like in action.

“Staff support children well to understand the school values that are underpinned by effective pupil leadership skills… Children are encouraged to be responsible by being proactive in their learning… Staff use a clear leadership framework to help children understand how they can live out these values by taking increasing responsibility for their own learning. Celebrating Two Inspiring Workshops in Scotland! 💪
Last week, we had the pleasure of running two Leader in Me workshops — one in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh — and the energy in both rooms was simply incredible.
We were blown away by the passion and commitment from educators across Scotland who are dedicated to developing the whole child. Several delegates shared that the content exceeded their expectations — which is the best feedback we could hope for! 🙌
