It's always a treat when Electric Umbrella come to visit, even if they steal our cameras to take their own selfies!

There have been some monstrous creations in Year 2 this week! The children were very proud to show off their clay monsters this morning, and were able to talk about all of the techniques they used to create them: rolling, pinching, coiling and blending, as well as joining different parts using slip! Well done to all of Year 2 for some great art work, and to our artist-in-residence, Ms Suji!

The Second Annual Bushey Singing Festival was a joyous end to the week! Thank you so much to parents for agreeing to drop the children off at an alternative site, our hard-working staff team for managing the arrangements and to our hosts Little Reddings Primary School, who ran another brilliant event (and let us use your playground!)

Year 3 really enjoyed visiting Bushey Islamic Circle this week! They learned all about how the centre functions as both a place of worship and a community space, as well as revising their understanding of the five pillars of Islam. It was a special day for Akram as well, who was able to recite a passage from the Qu'ran! Thank you to Miss Bladon and Mrs Patel for accompanying the class and all the lovely volunteers for hosting us!

School Council enjoyed a trip to Little Reddings Primary School last week to meet with their political counterparts (!), as well as the Bushey Meads Student Parliament! As you can see from the 'Is a Jaffa Cake a cake or a biscuit' slide, they were debating several hot topics, and fired the starting pistol on a collaborative endeavour they're excited to present to parents in June! Thank you to Miss Bladon, Miss Bacon from LRS and Mr Knowles from BMS for organising!

Year 2 had a great time last week visiting the Bushey United Synagogue! It was a really valuable and enriching opportunity to learn all about a religion in the appropriate context! Thanks to Pam and the volunteers for being such great hosts, Mrs Suji and Mrs Allsopp for organising, and to Mrs Bradley and our lovely parent helpers for making the whole day a success!
