In the first photo, the play kitchen was tucked beside a busy bookshelf — a space overflowing with things competing for attention.

By moving the kitchen closer to real-life kitchen play, we’ve:
🍳 Created a defined play area that mirrors real life
🧺 Made space for food, utensils, and pretend ingredients — inviting imagination
🧠 Encouraged deeper, more focused pretend play that supports independence, language, and creativity

When play materials are grouped by purpose, children can make sense of their environment.
They don’t just play — they practice real life.

We reimagined this space with a two-year-old and a 9-month-old in mind , creating a safe, cosy, and stimulating play area that supports early development and lots of giggles . Low, accessible shelving encourages independence, while age- appropriate toys and books are organized for easy discovery. A padded play mat provides a safe space for tumbling and crawling . Every detail was chosen to nurture curiosity, creativity and comfort during these important early years .
