My next online Spanish IGCSE Edexcel group is starting in September on Tuesdays, ready for exams in 2028. Current group runs until September '27.

Ideal for students with some Spanish knowledge, ready to work through a structured course. Includes homework practice and past papers. Listening, speaking, reading and writing all covered as each area supports another.

I'm a qualified French and Spanish teacher, experienced online tutor, seasoned speaking examiner and exam assessor. I have personal experience of home education and am well placed to advise you on exams and boards.

When I was a language student, the joke doing the rounds was,

"What do you say to a humanities graduate?"

"Big Mac and fries please".

For "humanities" you could substitute "psychology", "history".... It was obviously presented to me as "language graduate".

So this piece about the importance of the arts and the importance of following your interests resonates with me.

The 'Reyes Magos' tradition will be celebrated in Spain just as we are all starting up our classes again in the UK. It's the same day as Epiphany which we have in the Christian calendar too, although it has been largely forgotten here and doesn't have the holiday status and fiesta feel that it has in Spain.

I like to mention it when I can, as it keeps the Christmas feeling alive for a bit longer, but just in case we don't have time in my classes, here is a clear overview of what happens on this special day in Spain:
