At The Nomad Health Club, as well as coaches, we are your health and fitness consultants. Therefore, we have systems in place where we will be your number 1 point of contact.

We understand that health and fitness may not be your forte, but we know it is extremely important to you. We design what works for you, and the experience you gain in becoming healthier will be invaluable.

Health is our most important asset, that's why it's important to invest in ourselves. And yes, yours is a damn good investment. Don't let anyone tell you differently. This is what we stand for.

You are the priority, so let's make health the priority. 💪

📝Many factors shape what we like or don’t.

✔️Genetics - our food preferences are affected by our genes. For example, if you have more “fat taste” receptors in your mouth, you may find many desserts or creamy sauces too rich. Other people are very sensitive to the presence of certain chemicals and to them, vegetables are more likely to taste bitter.

✔️ Age and neurological development - children are typically more picky, while adults may enjoy more challenging flavours as they’re exposed to more foods and their taste buds become less sensitive. However, this varies across cultures. A child in Southeast Asia might eat kimchi or fermented fish sauce. Or a child in West Africa might eat chile peppers without complaint.

✔️Health and reproduction - women who are pregnant may notice their tastes change significantly, often day to day. The same is true for many chronic diseases.

✔️Cultural background - if you grew up with certain foods, you probably have some kind of emotional attachment to them. If you are living somewhere that you didn’t grow up, you might find yourself sticking closely to those heritage foods, or returning to them when you want to feel connected to your roots.

One of the greater questions for self-knowledge is: WHY❓

You need to know the “why” to get to your deeper motivations for wanting or doing things.

Why do you want to change?

Why do you want to lose fat?

Why do you want to build muscle?

Why do you want to eat healthier?

The more you know about your own needs and wants, the stronger your strategic position can be to achieve your goals.

In this post we suggest you try the 5 WHYS exercise so you can dig deep on your core values, motivators and purpose.

🕒Rather than lecturing you on how to manage your time properly, we'd rather encourage you to make time for your health. Without health there is very little left.

🚘A sedentary lifestyle is not ideal from an evolutionary standpoint. Our ancestors moved a lot more and by large we are still the same as them biologically, no different.

💡Let's come together and figure out how you can perhaps manage your health in accordance with the modern day lifestyle, you shouldn't have to sacrifice health for anything.

💭 Take some time to think about yourself.

When we think about improving our health we usually think about what we can do to improve our fitness and nutrition. 🏃‍♀️🥗

But the reality is that our health involves all domains of what we are as people and our experiences:
- how our body feels, functions, and performs;
- our mental and cognitive health;
our emotional health;
- our existential and purposeful health;
- our relational and social health;
- our environmental health.

This is what we call DEEP HEALTH.

✏️Practise the exercise that we suggest in the slides to know how satisfied you are with each area of your deep health web.

The more deep health we have, the better we are able to grow, adapt, evolve and excel as human beings.
