We are surprised and delighted to announce that we are winners of this award! An award for Home-School Tutoring UK Ltd and all of the amazing businesses that make up the Home-School Tutoring Group.

The Home-School Tutoring Group provided tutoring services for 28 Local Authorities and County Councils in the past academic year, as well as tutoring services to over 100 schools! This is challenging work, but it is also hugely rewarding.

Thank you and congratulations to everyone who is part of this. You have all made such a difference to the lives of so many children and young people. This award is due to the genuine compassion, professionalism and hard work of everyone involved with all of the Home-School Tutoring businesses. We are also grateful to all of the schools, Local Authorities and County Councils who partner with our group across the UK.

"How can you possibly concentrate with those headphones on? What are you even listening to?" The question of whether music helps or hinders revision is among one of the most common we hear from concerned parents. (Spencer Coles, 'Tune Out or Tune In' report)

Dr. Aric Sigman was commissioned to undertake a brief research summary on whether listening to music whilst studying improves revision.

Dr. Sigman's report is an interesting read for schools, teachers, students, and families with practical evidence-based guidance to help with the debate around music and revision. A key message from the report is that each learner, "will need to consider a number of factors before deciding on whether they will actually benefit from listening to music while revising, and if so, what type of music they should choose or avoid especially during exam season." (Dr. A. Sigman)

Happy world book day! I expect there have been some marvellous costumes. The theme this year is ‘read your way’. As long as you’re reading something, that is the most important thing.
