Today I’m launching Owl House Seminars, my new venture that’s ‘more than a zoom talk’, the home of Literature and the Weird, where I'm teaching open-access educational seminars events throughout the year. I hope you'll join me: it'll be great to see you there.

My first seminar for 2023 is ‘Moonchild and the High Priestess’, on Saturday April 22, a deep dive into Aleister Crowley’s novel Moonchild (1926) as we explore his use of the Tarot and magic to inform the structure and thematic development of the book. There will be discussion, some Tarot practice - a chance to learn a new skill, or to share your divination experiences- class handouts and takeaways. An enjoyable day with a fascinating important occult novel. Moonchild is available online and is an accessible read. Thanks to those who’ve already bought their ticket! Bookings are open and tickets (£25) available sueterryacademic.com/courses-events.
A skip through other Literature and the Weird course subjects coming soon: British counterculture, popular ‘middlebrow’ occult fiction, weird cities, narratives of the Holy Grail, the paranormal, UFOs and religion, New Age communities, the cultural significance of Glastonbury (why, what and how?), and fiction as an interdimensional portal.
Practical courses include tarot and numerology classes; some specific coaching classes in education, career and business are in development too.

My Glastonbury course will run over four weeks on Thursday evenings in June and July 2023: confirmed dates and bookings will be announced shortly. More diary dates are on their way!

If you’d like to register your interest for a particular course subject, please contact me via the website or at [email protected]. Thank you!
