New report alert!
We have spent the last few months speaking to our cohort (now 20 & 21 years old) to find out about how they are finding lockdown. 87% of these young people reported negative impacts of lockdown.
The ASPIRES research recommendations for supporting GenZ young people in higher education and/or employment:
1) Financial support for students who have lost essential income from missing part-time work.
2) Actions to address inconsistencies in provision across universities and degree subjects.
3) Universities provide students with key rites of passage, even if online.
4) More participatory policy and practice that values GenZ views and experiences.
5) Increased resource for mental health.
6) Improved careers support that reaches all GenZ.
