🎉We are delighted to share that Hurlingham has been shortlisted in the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2025.
This recognition highlights the outstanding work of our Nursery and Pre-Prep teams, whose Early Years provision was also awarded a coveted 'Significant Strength' in our most recent ISI inspection when inspectors noted the exceptional emotional development of our youngest learners, which reflects our intentional focus on wellbeing, relationships, and responsive teaching.
At Hurlingham, we believe that children flourish when they are known, valued and inspired. We are proud that this ethos has been formally recognised this year after all of the hard work.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is key to our Staff enrichment and personal development. This evening we enjoyed learning about the importance of movement and how to use basic equipment in school to identify and support neural and physical development through movement.

🎤🎶The Prep School Choir joined the annual Putney ‘Kick Off Christmas’ celebrations singing festive tunes in our distinctive blue blazers!
📻Riverside Radio Stage hosted the live event beside St Mary’s Church in Putney.
🗣️🎙️The choir is made up of children from the Chamber and Junior Choirs, with singers from Years 3 to 6. The singing certainly got them in the mood for the Christmas Fayre this afternoon!

This morning we gathered to Remember.
We were so honoured to have Captain George Hopkins, from the Scots Guards Regiment and Equerry to the Duke of Edinburgh, visit us for our assembly to talk about why we have 'Remembrance' and to share about his military service and career - although the highlight was seeing his sword! Captain Hopkins poignantly reminded us that as long as we continue to have assemblies and services for Remembrance, then we can continue to remember the fallen.
🕚We all gathered for a minute's silence at 11:00 am in the playground with poems read by our Year 6 pupils and Mr Shore played 'The Last Post'.
