This full moon is in Leo at 27 degrees today on 16th Feb. It is happening at 4:57pm GMT and 8:57am PT, 11.57am ET. As mentioned before we have 7 full moons in a row at 27 degrees and this one is the fifth one.

Full Moons are always the peak of the cycle that's open when we have the culmination, closure, receiving the fruit of our labour and what we seeded, the energy comes to its head, feelings can be at times very emotional. So it is important to see where 27 degrees of Leo falls into your chart.

As some of you know, i love numbers (being an ex banker) and in numerology, 27 also means endings and so we are having a lot of endings this year and in parallel the birth of new things.

It's a very dynamic full moon. And the moon (like at every full moon) is in exact opposition to the sun at 27 degrees of Aquarius (Aquarius = the energy of the world at large). So you want to identify where you have a 27 degrees of a Leo in your chart as the moon is illuminating something in you, within you, at a heart level, a sense of ownership connected to your solar plexus, connected to what you want, to what you need. This Full Moon is about your heart energy (Leo).

And there is this Leo fire energy about what is really within you right now that you are looking to create, that you are looking to demonstrate or to share in a way that feels empowering. This Leo energy is asking you to shine your bright light… yet
This is a very intense full moon where the sun which is the ruler of Leo (and where the moon resides right now) is opposite right now in Aquarius so there is a tension. The light of the Moon is also highlighting your feelings of lack and critical self-judgement.

Have you found yourself full of self doubt?
Has your confidence been low?

These are all signs of the shadow Leo energy - this full moon is highlighting this for you because you need to release these fears. If you don't, they won't go away, they will sit there brewing, waiting for another time to surface, but bigger.

The Most Powerful New Moon Of The Year Is Here

This New Moon in Aquarius (12 degrees) is also the start of the Lunar new year for many in this world and a big celebration for the year of the Tiger. It will take place on Jan 31st at 9:45pm PT and Feb 1st at 5:45am GMT, 00:45am ET

We are now seeding new intentions, new directions and new energies to where we want to go next. 12 degrees of Aquarius was a point in your chart, undergoing perhaps ongoing change throughout the previous year.

Now, have you felt like this in the last few days or maybe even right now?

Have you been feeling trapped or restricted in some areas of your life? Perhaps you have experienced feelings of anger or maybe sadness or hopelessness and maybe also of being misunderstood?

It's normal. This is what is coming up before the new moon and it will show up as feeling unloved, left out, separate and isolated and also if you don’t have enough time, that things are running away from you, or you are running out of time.

This new moon is conjunct (dancing with) Saturn which is now in new territories - something has been strengthened, declared, committed to. It is an energy of maturity, responsibility, understanding what you are doing to move your life forward in concrete ways.

Because of the transit that is happening, and forming an exact square with Uranus and also almost like an exact square with the lunar nodes (nodes are mathematical calculation points on the lunar orbital path), it is acting as an eclipse activation.

First activation of the energies in the Taurus/Scorpio nodal axis and it is making us reflecting back to the energies brought up in the Nov 2021 lunar eclipse. Try to remind yourself what you experienced then (especially if you journal).

Full moon in Cancer on 17th Jan 2022 happening at 11:48pm GMT, 6:48pm ET & 3:48pm PT. This Full Moon is the 4th Full Moon in a row at 27 degrees of that sign. (there are 7th in a row at that degree and this is not a coincidence. Any of your planets sitting at 27 degrees will be activated for sure).

Full Moon is always a time for culmination, a great time for clearing and releasing and also for receiving what we seeded 2 weeks before or month before. It is the time when the moon is illuminated the most by the sun on the opposite side.

Now this Full Moon in Cancer has a special flavour to it because it is taking place during the Mercury retrograde (always linked to tech issues, systems not working quite as smoothly, communication systems or just communication issues in general). In Capricorn, it is linked to authority, the archetypal father energy, the banking industry, the economy, finances. We have 4 planets sitting in Capricorn so a lot of energies around it with Pluto, the Sun, Venus and Mercury. This is a very powerful cocktail of energies on the Capricorn side. Pluto is about secrets and is bringing a big intensity to the party.

On the other hand, Cancer is associated with home, nurturing, family, safety, where you go at the end of the day, where you retreat. It is also the energy of motherhood, our roots for our emotion. It is a very sensitive, gentle, caring, gentle, loving, empathetic energy and has a need to be nurtured and also feels instinctively what others need to be nurtured.

This Moon in Cancer feels vulnerable, softer, overwhelmed, defensive and exhausted from all those energies. So give yourself some time and space. Self-care is necessary right now.
