Hanging on to the drama

The ladder up the tightrope represents the current pressures and stress making the tightrope higher. It also represents the beliefs we carry about our situation or past experiences that mean we’re stuck.

Sometimes we can get drawn into the drama and cycle of negative thoughts. Time to keep climbing up to start balancing despite those pressures and move into positive action.

Hanging in the safety zone …

Rest and recovery are important for being able to bounce back and carry on with achieving and growing and developing. But hanging out in the safety zone won’t support change!

Time to bounce back up and keep moving

I know what to do, I just have to do it!!

It’s easy to get stuck just before that first step into action, especially if it’s after a few falls off the tightrope and re-attempts bouncing back up from the safety net!

As says “planning is motion, not action”. It’s time to take that first small step!

Forgotten successes

In trying to find a way out of the blah and meh, it’s easy to get distracted by the next shining thing rather than just remember the things that have worked well before.

I’m now going back to basics and focusing on what’s worked for me before!

Fallen goal ⭐️

It’s been a while since I posted. Went into a rabbit hole of a big reorganisation that I was leading on and got caught up with wanting to change the tightrope method to the tightrope framework. Plus tangled up with perfectionism. Basically I lost sight of my goals and I dropped the ball!

I will be posting a series of sketches for how it has felt going off tack using the different areas of the tightrope as a visual representation. Then it will be full steam ahead with a plan for posting new content and videos and research.

Heard Dr Luana Marques on a podcast talking about anxiety and that one of the main behaviours of anxiety is avoidance. While we can’t change having anxiety we can work on our avoidance - even if it’s one small step at a time
