Did you know that your emotions just last 90 seconds from beginning to end?

However, ruminating and overthinking can make you spiral and keep your feelings for longer than you'd like.

Doing things like listening to sad music or replaying images in your mind is preventing you from getting rid of the emotion itself, and keeps fueling it.

The solution for the emotion to go away?

Simple but not easy: feel the emotion until it goes away without doing anything about it. Just sit with it until it fades away and disappears.
