Every young person deserves to feel like they belong.
Sadly, for children in care, that sense of belonging isn’t always easy to find.

At First Star, we’re creating something different. Long-term programmes where care-experienced young people are supported, encouraged, and reminded that they matter. It's not about grades, behaviour or exams. It’s about building confidence, community, and lifelong connections.

This year, we’re proud to be launching new First Star programmes at UCL and Emmanuel College, Cambridge. These programmes give young people the chance to experience university life in a supportive environment where they feel truly seen and valued.

Because when a young person knows they belong, everything changes.
