For those of you that have been around for a while will know that all of my boys suffered with reflux. If your little one has reflux, any gastric issue really, it can be so tough.
When we had Teddy our eldest, we didnât even know what it was. He was sick on nearly every feed and the stress was unreal. Back then we were fobbed off a bit and it went undiagnosed for ages; I think it was Dani researching online that helped us stumble on the right path.
Rafferty our middle had silent reflux. We personally found this harder. The little guy was in so much pain and we felt helpless.
Malchlyâs reflux was quite mild thank goodness. But we were much more equipped to deal with it with him as we had knowledge of reflux. And I think thatâs the key.
I am going Live with Aine the Baby Reflux Lady on Monday 23rd June at 1pm and she has a wealth of knowledge on the topic. Her own children experienced chronic reflux, allergies, tongue tie, and colic and she found herself being repeatedly dismissed by the medical system.
She has since helped over 13,000 families across the world and now trains healthcare professionals, birth workers, and wellness practitioners in her method. Her work goes far beyond soothing symptoms. She teaches people how to read a babyâs body like a map and find whatâs actually wrong, even when no one else can see it.
If your little one has stomach troubles, itâs definitely worth a watch, even if itâs to rule it out.

When Dani and I hired a Sleep Consultant for our first child we soon realised that it was very much a one size fits all method, and if your family dynamic was a little outside the box then you wouldnât really see yourself represented.
Now in my childhood it was normal for most Dads to work a full time job while the Mum stayed at home or worked part time, and that was the case for my parents, meaning my mum would have taken on most of the responsibility of the day to day raising of us. And Daniâs mum raised her as a single mother so again the responsibility was all on her.
But today we see women also working full or part time to support their family. Dadâs are able to put in flexible working requests and the role of the Father has evolved to be much more hands on than it would have been 30/ 40 years ago.
I was adamant when we had children that I wanted to be just as involved in raising them as Dani would be. But the rhetoric wasnât aimed at me. It was very much aimed at Dani supporting Teddy in his independant sleep journey.
I knew that if I felt out of place and out of the picture, when I ticked most of the ânormalâ boxes, then those who didnât fit into this box would feel even more ignored as parents.
Which is when I decided that I would create a place where everyone felt included, heard and respected. And I hope that comes across on my page.
On Tuesday 3rd June I am going to live with a very special friend of mine Liz who talks about the experience of her and her wife Rosie and their journey to having their son Rupert.
Liz has been through the journey as a sleep deprived mum that sleep trained her son and then went onto set up a business as a Sleep Consultant. Itâs sure to be a fascinating conversation so I hope youâll join us!

Here are the top 50 names in the UK for boys and girls according to Mumsnet. Teddy seems to always make it but Raferty never has, (itâs at number 208) although I hear it more now than I used to... as for Malachy... currently ranked at number 1250 it has a long way to climb! But we love it and thatâs all that matters!
Can you see your babyâs name on the list? Or any that you liked but didnât end up using? Keep swiping for the girls! We particularly liked Darcy but didnât get to use it!

Next week is National Weaning week and thereâs a lot of support out there for weaning, from when to begin, what foods to start with and which approach to take whether thatâs baby led weaning or purees...
But what happens when the excitement of all these new flavours wears off?
Most children will go through a stage of being fussy eaters, itâs their way of showing their independence, the ability to say no is a big power move!
Like me, Samantha of is a parent of 3 so sheâs been there! But she also has a BSc in Bioanalytical Science, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Science and is a qualified Nutritionist. So she has plenty of science to back up her life experience too!
Iâm really looking forward to talking to her about her practical tips for fussy eaters, nutrition tips for families and how to make mealtimes stress free, nutritional and enjoyable!
Iâd love any questions you have for Samantha- from weaning to how to get older kids to eat their vegetables- either pop them below or in the question box in stories

As we come to the end of Maternal Mental Health Week we wanted to share this review from one of our clients.
If you feel like you are losing your mind because of Sleep Deprivation I want you to know that you are not alone. We speak to so many families who simply canât see a way out. Each day is a constant battle and they dread the evenings.
Itâs no surprise that relationships can take a hit as you become ships in the night, or resentment builds as one of you returns to work and the other is left dealing with the majority of the caring responsibilities, including the night wakes.
If you feel like this then I encourage you to reach out to us for support, we have helped so many families like yours get the help that they need, in a gentle and caring way.
Our DMâs are always open,

When your baby wakes throughout the night you might assume they are always waking for hunger⊠but take this quiz to find out whether itâs time to start reducing the night feeds or whether a partner might be able to give you a hand for some of the wakes and allow you to get some rest.
