Today marked the conclusion of this year's NLCS International Mini MUN Conference.
The conference came to a close with a special closing ceremony, where certificates were presented by NLCS (UK) Headmistress, Vicky Bingham, celebrating the commitment, collaboration and enthusiasm shown by all participants.
Over the course of the conference, pupils demonstrated impressive communication, teamwork and leadership skills as they explored international issues, debated ideas and worked together to develop resolutions. Just as importantly, they built new friendships and strengthened connections across the NLCS family.
To round off a memorable few days, pupils enjoyed visits to Legoland and the Harry Potter Studio Tour. After a week of thoughtful discussion and collaboration, it was a fitting way to celebrate their achievements and create lasting memories with friends from across our schools.
A special thank you to Ana Santos and Alexandros Sfakianakis for organising the conference, and to our colleagues from across the international schools โ Hayley Dean, Mark Mullan, Leela Kent-Hume, Natasha Morgan, Amy Long, Kevin Neeson, Lisa Finighan, Thomas Myerscough and Antonia Debbonaire, whose support, guidance and enthusiasm helped make the event such a success.

The 2026 NLCS Mini Model United Nations Conference is well underway, bringing together pupils from NLCS (UK), NLCS Jeju, NLCS Dubai and NLCS (Singapore) for an inspiring 4 days of learning, collaboration and global engagement.
Since arriving in London, pupils have participated in committee sessions, explored important international topics and worked together to develop resolutions, demonstrating impressive curiosity, empathy and a willingness to consider different perspectives.
Today marked one of the highlights of the conference as pupils came together for the General Assembly. Building on the work completed throughout the week, they presented their resolutions, engaged in thoughtful debate and responded confidently to the views of their peers.
Designed specifically for Junior School pupils, the Mini MUN provides a unique opportunity for young learners to develop their communication, leadership and critical thinking skills while gaining a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Last week, we were delighted to host our first Future Leaders Course at NLCS Kobe, welcoming colleagues from across our school group, including Jeju, Dubai and Singapore.
This two day professional development programme, launched this year, brought together aspiring leaders from across our global community alongside colleagues already based in Kobe.
The sessions were led by Principals Henry Wiggins (NLCS Jeju) and Matt Williams (NLCS Kobe), who shared their expertise and guided participants through a range of leadership focused discussions and activities.
The course provides a valuable starting point for staff looking to develop their leadership skills, complementing our wider professional development pathway, including the Middle Leaders Conference held later in the year.
A great opportunity to connect, collaborate and support the next generation of leaders across our global community.

We are delighted to be able to share that Carol Chandler-Thompson will be returning to North London Collegiate School in 2027, to assume the role of Group Education Director for NLCS International.
Carol has spent thirty years developing a rich understanding of what constitutes a truly exceptional education, through leading and teaching in a range of high performing schools in the UK and overseas.
At NLCS (UK), Carol led a highly successful History and Politics department and contributed widely to the Schoolโs enrichment and co-curricular provision. In 2011, her dedication to the NLCS ethos led her to be appointed as Vice Principal, as part of the founding leadership team of NLCSโs first international school: NLCS Jeju. In this role she led on the establishment of boarding throughout the school and played a central part in establishing a strong and successful ethos, setting the high standards that characterise all the NLCS international schools today.
In 2014, Carol returned to London to become the Head of Blackheath High School, part of the Girlsโ Day School Trust. This headship saw Carol oversee a multi-million-pound re-development of the school estate, and a growth in pupil numbers as a result of a transformation in academic and pastoral provision within the Senior School. During this time, Carol also served as Vice-Chair of Governors at Channing school in Highgate. She then moved to Scotland to become the Head of St. Georgeโs, Edinburgh, where she has relished the opportunity to lead this internationally-minded, vibrant and historic school.
We could not be happier about Carol's appointment, and are looking forward with great anticipation to her joining the team!
