𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐞! 😇
This lesson is focusing on 𝙙𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚𝙨.

Defining relative clauses give us 𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 about the person 👀, place 🌍 or thing 🔎 and is introduced using a relative pronoun: who, when, where, that etc.

For example: There is the girl 𝙬𝙝𝙤 had the terrible accident. (If we just say 'there is the girl 👧', the sentence doesn't make much sentence to us 🤷‍♀️, so we need to introduce the essential information to make it coherent.)

𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭! 😢
This lesson is on the '𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡''.

The third conditional is used to talk about something in the past that did/not happen and so cannot be changed. 🙅‍♀️

Formation: 𝙄𝙛 + 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙/𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 + 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚.

For example:
𝙄𝙛 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙙 harder, I 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 the exam ✍.
𝙄𝙛 my mother 𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙣'𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙙 me, I 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙙 the train 🚉.

𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧!
This lesson is on ‘𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩'. 🔃

Simple present is used to talk about: 1️⃣ an action that is true right now and
2️⃣ a routine action.

For example:
I 𝙖𝙢 38 years old (right now).
I 𝙬𝙖𝙠𝙚 up at 9:00am every day (routine action).

Hi Everyone 👋
Welcome to 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥 !

My name is Caron and I am a certified English language teacher and academic coordinator, with over 15 years experience 🤓.

I decided to set up 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥 as I was disappointed 😢 with what I saw in all the different English schools out there, such as the following:

𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐬 ❌
You must pay membership fees, sign-up fees, material fees. You need to pay such a large amount of money upfront just to secure your place on a course.
𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✅
Here, at 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥, we offer a pay-as-you-go service where you do not need to commit to anything. Only pay for one lesson at a time.

𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 ❌
Schools either follow course books or provide a curriculum. How many times have you been in a lesson, where you already knew the grammar point being taught or how many times have you felt bored because the lesson wasn't what you wanted to focus on?
𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✅
At 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥, you decide what you want to learn. Simply look at our wide list of daily lessons and decide what you want to focus on today.
All lessons have been created by myself and my team to help you perfect one new grammatical point per lesson.

𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 ❌
You need to attend classes at a certain hour every day/week and not only that, if you miss that class, you don't get the chance to take it again at a later time.
𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✅
We provide 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝟐𝟒𝐡𝐫𝐬 a day, 𝟕 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 a week. You get to decide when you want to attend. Also, if you thought the lesson was too difficult, or you had to leave early, you have the link to attend the same lesson again, as often as you want 👏.

Try it today for 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 🗽, visit the website www.englishandchill.com and click on the lessons with the 'free' sticker. (All you need is your email address.)

𝐈 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞!
This lesson is on ‘𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙡 𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙨'. 🗣️

Modal verbs are used to talk about 1️⃣ necessity,
2️⃣ probability and
3️⃣ likelihood of something (to happen/or happening).
We use such words as: 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, 𝙢𝙖𝙮, 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡, 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙, 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 etc.

For example:
Next weekend, I 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 visit my friends. (100%).
Tomorrow, if it's not raining, I 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩, go to the beach (50%)

𝗛𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁!
This lesson is on ‘𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙚𝙘𝙝’. 🗣️

Reported speech is when we tell someone what someone else previously said.
We use a grammar technique called 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 🔄 Backshifting is where we go back one tense in grammar.

For example:
Yukiko: I am so cold. 💬
Keisuke: Yukiko said that she was so cold. 💬

𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿!
This lesson is on the ‘𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩’.

The present perfect is used to talk about
1️⃣ our experience,
2️⃣ a recently finished action and
3️⃣ an action that happened in the past but is important to now.

FORMATION = 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚/𝙝𝙖𝙨 + 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚.

For example: I have visited New York 🇺🇸
