For years it felt like just a daydream.

More time, freedom, ocean and less alarm clocks.

I looked at my daughter and realised the daydream wasn’t just for me. It was for us.

The life I want to give her. The mum I want to show up as. The memories I want us to actually have time to make.

She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s the reason I work harder than I ever have.

And she’s the reason I won’t stop. 🌊

For a long time I felt guilty for wanting more.
I had my daughter, my routine, my shifts.

I was showing up. Keeping things together.

Who was I to want something different?

But the truth I had to sit with, wanting more adventure, more freedom, more presence with my family,

that wasn’t selfish.

That was the most honest thing about me.

The mundane routine of shifts and mum life wasn’t the problem, it was the feeling that it was the only option.

If you’ve ever felt that quiet guilt, you’re not ungrateful.
You’re just ready.
