DID YOU KNOW?

One of the easiest ways to find out if you really understand something is to try teaching it to someone else.
Don’t just read your notes.

Pick a topic and pretend you’re the teacher.
Explain it out loud in your own words.
If you can explain it simply without constantly checking your notes, that’s a good sign that you’ve understood it.

But if you get stuck halfway through?
That’s useful too. 👀
It shows you exactly where you need to go back and learn more.

So next time you’re revising, don’t just ask:
“Do I remember this?”
Ask:
“Could I teach this to someone else?”

What does an educator do on a lazy day? 🚲

For our tutor, one thing is cycling. 🌿

No lesson plans. No worksheets. No marking. No rushing from one thing to another.

Just a bike ride, fresh air, a little time to herself and, sometimes, a quiet stop by the river to watch the water flow.

In a world that moves so quickly, these slow moments are a reminder that rest matters too. Sometimes, stepping away from the noise is exactly what you need to clear your mind, gather your thoughts and simply breathe.

Because being an educator and on a mission to building brighter futures for our students isn’t only about how much we achieve or what happens in the classroom, it’s also about taking care of ourselves along the way,being human,finding balance and making space for the things that bring us joy.

And on this particular lazy afternoon? Cycling won. 🤍🚲

Every child starts somewhere.

Some children answer every question with confidence, Others hesitate not because they don’t have the ability, but because they’re afraid of getting it wrong.

As parents and educators, one of the greatest gifts we can give a child is the confidence to try, make mistakes, and keep learning.

A child who believes, “I can do this,” is far more likely to keep going than one who believes, “I’ll never get it right.”
