Amidst the joy of newborn cuddles in the initial days and the fourth trimester, It’s natural to experience a wave of life adjustments and fatigue. Here are our tips for making this period of life adjustment easier:
▪️Accepting help and calling on your village. Whether it’s someone holding your little one whilst you rest, or asking them to tidy a room whilst you cuddle your baby, don’t do the British thing and say I’m fine, accepting the help and don’t be shy to reach out!
▪️Meal rotas - seeing if your friends and family can come up with a meal rota for you and drop round dinner each night, it’s one thing less to worry about
▪️Prioritise rest for yourself, don’t rush out, and it’s okay to say no to people coming over, there is plenty of time for that
▪️Stay hydrated and nourished, now is the time to reach for those healthy foods and vitamins
▪️Have realistic expectations! Baby steps, it gets easier we promise !

Where is the best place to start with awake windows❓
Our best advice is to look online for the average awake windows for your child’s age (we also have a chart for this saved on our highlights) ❤️
Once you have found the average look out for tired signs around these times. Something else that’s important is adjusting the awake window based on the length of your child’s nap 😴
If they have a short nap the next awake window is likely to be shorter than the average amount you were working with, if they have a long nap the next awake window may be the average you are working with or slightly longer
We hope you found this helpful, if you did don’t forget to give us a thumbs up and tag a friend in the comments to help them too! 👍

Releasing energy before bed can help kids unwind, promoting better sleep quality and making it easier for them to fall asleep. It also helps them channel their energy in a positive way, reducing restlessness and potential bedtime resistance.

💤Striking the perfect balance 💤
- Quality sleep lays the foundation, but the quantity matters too
Quality sleep is essential for cognitive development, emotional well-being and even keeps our little ones immune system boosted BUT ensuring our littles have enough sleep for their age allows for a well rested happy child. Quantity can also directly affects the quality of sleep…
Remember sleep breeds sleep!😴
