🚨⚽Honestly, I never believed Chelsea would actually land Marco Palestra and Pep Chavarría this summer. 💙🔥
By doing this, Chelsea is sending a clear signal to everyone... They are not here to just make up the numbers but to compete.
The Pep Chavarría deal looked like the kind of transfer that could easily fall apart somewhere along the line.
But Chelsea still got it done.
And for me, that says a lot about the club's ambition under Xabi Alonso.
🔵 Marco Palestra — pace, intelligence, movement, versatility and an attacking mentality.
🔵 Pep Chavarría — experience, aggression, energy, width and the ability to play as a left-back or wing-back.
What makes it even more interesting is that these aren't just signings for the sake of adding numbers.
They appear to fit the type of football Alonso wants to play.
Chelsea are building a squad with:
⚡ Pace
💪 Physicality
🧠 Tactical flexibility
🔥 Competition for places
📈 Plenty of young talent
🏆 And now, serious ambition
After finishing 10th in the Premier League last season, Chelsea cannot afford another campaign of disappointment.
The message from the club seems pretty clear:
They want to get back to the top.
And if Palestra and Chavarría continue showing the qualities we've seen during pre-season, Chelsea fans could have two very exciting players to enjoy for years.
Was landing Palestra and Chavarría two of Chelsea's most important pieces of business this summer? 👀💙👇
