It's Friday afternoon and I have received loads of requests to be my friend. It's lovely to be wanted but this is a reminder that I WANT YOU to be a member of the BLACKHEATH MUSIC APPRECIATION SOCIETY to hear lectrures by MATTHEW TAYLOR who is the guy in the photo at the top.

SO, this Monday 20th January, we will be in the Hearn Recital Room of BLACKHEATH HALLS for the second lecture in our series MUSIC ABOUT 1900. The show moves to Munich and the subject composer is RICHARD STRAUSS. The two main works being illustrated are Don Quixotte and A Hero's Life (Ein Heldenleben). I am struggling to write a sketch biography of Strauss in time.

What we are looking for is new blood to join us and enjoy the pleasures of taking a couple of hours off on a Monday morning at 10 am. You may find a button somewhere to press for our website but if I've got that wrong try us www.blackheath-music.co.uk.

I will try to attach a photo but I can't guarantee it
