Our first event of the year, StudyWorld Brighton, was a great success! 🌊✨

Delegates praised the quality of agents, the smooth organisation and the fantastic connections made through focused meetings and networking.

With 95% educator schedule capacity, highly engaged agents and a lively energy throughout, Brighton truly delivered. From seaside seminars to dancing among sharks at the SEA LIFE networking event, it was a week to remember.

Now, the countdown to StudyWorld 2027 in Glasgow begins⏱️After the success of taking StudyWorld “on tour” to Manchester, excitement is already building as we prepare to showcase Scotland’s warm hospitality and vibrant ELT offer.

🦈Sharks, turtles and one of the world’s most endangered fish made StudyWorld’s networking party at SEA LIFE Brighton one of the most memorable ever.

Zachary Bartosik of MLA World English which hosted the event, joked: “We’ve made a real splash here tonight,” as hundreds of guests chatted and danced in the world’s oldest aquarium.

Around 250 agents, educators and service providers enjoyed relaxing after a thousand productive meetings held during the first full day of StudyWorld.

Yesterday we welcomed delegates back to Brighton for the first time in 20 years and the energy was incredible 🌊🙌

The photo-booth with seaside props (including inflatable seagulls) was a popular part of the welcome reception, sponsored by Elac Study Vacations.

English UK's chair Shoko Doherty, welcoming delegates to the city said English UK was working to maximise UK ELT's opportunities in tough trading conditions, "I'm delighted to see so many of you here to ignite and nurture business partnerships."

Success for our AI event in London!

Our very first AI in ELT event brought together academic leaders to explore how AI can support teaching and admin tasks in responsible and practical ways.

Speakers Beatrice Segura Harvey, Neil Harris, and Fred Gordon explored insightful topics such as the importance of AI frameworks and thinking critically about AI tools. Participants got hands-on creating their own AI-enhanced resources to take back to their teaching centres.
