The Editors’ Editor award celebrates extraordinary individuals for their dedication and outstanding contribution to magazines, and this year’s nominees have been put forward by the peers who admire them.

Over 800 young writers entered the first-ever BSME Young Writers’ Prize with Caitlin Moran, and we have been in awe of the quality of the pieces that landed in our inbox. Funny, furious, tender, strange. Talented writers aged 18 to 25, in 84 counties across the UK, most of them without a byline to their name yet.

We’re delighted to announce that our top 20 shortlist will go live on our website next week, on Wednesday 16 September.

The winner and the runners-up will be announced on Wednesday, 23rd September.
