Last week we welcomed back four former Parli students, 62 years after they first studied here between 1957 and 1964.
Now in their 80s, Jennifer, Mari, Alexis and Ann returned to reconnect with old memories, revisit familiar spaces and reflect on how much the school has changed over the decades.
From memories of swimming at Hampstead Lido and strict uniform rules, to afternoon tea in the library exploring archive photographs and programmes, the visit was filled with laughter, nostalgia and wonderful stories from their school days.
Our Year 9 students also had the opportunity to meet the alumni and exchange experiences of school life past and present - a meaningful reminder of the enduring Parli community across generations.
It was a privilege to celebrate the history of our school and the lifelong connection our students continue to share with Parli.

🎓 From Parli to Oxford — and now to Kilimanjaro 🏔️
Former Parliament Hill School student Maisy Zagar is taking on an incredible challenge this August: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise £5,000 for Amnesty International.
Now studying PPE at the University of Oxford, Maisy is also working with charities on issues around sexual violence - making her mission to support human rights even more meaningful.
“Parli was such a huge part of my life… it helped me find my voice and take action.”
From campaigning at school to tackling one of the world’s highest peaks, Maisy is pushing herself for a powerful cause 💪
💛 Every donation, big or small, will support Amnesty’s vital work around the world.

❄️🎿 LaSWAP Students Take on Canada! 🇨🇦
Students from Sixth Form have just returned from an unforgettable ski trip to Mont Tremblant, organised by Mr Hastings.
They spent five action-packed days on the slopes, building skills and confidence in everything from icy -15°C conditions to bright sunny runs ⛷️
Beyond skiing, students explored the resort village, tried escape rooms, relaxed in hot tubs, and visited Montreal, including the Montreal Biodome and some serious outlet shopping 🛍️
Of course, no trip was complete without trying poutine and watching the incredible pond-skimming event!
From skiing to city life, the trip was full of new experiences, friendships and memories to last a lifetime 💙

Lila delivered an outstanding performance this weekend! 🏃♀️
She was selected to represent Haringey in the TCS Mini London Marathon—one of just four athletes chosen in her U14 age group—which is a fantastic achievement in itself.
She then went on to run 2.6km in 10:57, securing a new personal best.
The event gives young people aged 11–17 the opportunity to race on the official London Marathon course, with participants selected through local trials and clubs. Lila rose to the challenge and made it count.
A huge congratulations to Lila—we’re incredibly proud of you! 👏

To raise funds for their prom, our Year 11 students have been busy organising a range of activities — from car washes to bake sales 👏
As part of the celebrations, Thursday’s theme was British Icons, and both students and staff fully embraced it! From legendary female actors and singers to iconic TV presenters, the transformations were incredible ✨
There was so much laughter, and we were genuinely amazed by the creativity on display. What a brilliant way to come together as a community!

🚀🌕 Parliament Hill Students Win UK Space Design Challenge National Finals! 🌕🚀
On Sat 8th and Sun 9th March, our amazing Year 10 & 11 students travelled to Imperial College London to compete in the UK Space Design Challenge (SDC) National Finals. Accompanied by teachers Thanos Papapostolou, Emma Cater, and Joe Wellington, they worked tirelessly alongside other sixth forms as part of the fictional engineering company “Sapien”.
Over a 24-hour challenge, the teams designed a self-sustaining moon base capable of hosting both tourists and permanent residents — planning everything from structures and technology to human-centred systems for safety, comfort, and sustainability.
Despite the long hours and little sleep, our students impressed a panel of space industry experts and academics with their creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Their hard work paid off, and they were crowned national champions, bringing home medals and making history for Parli Physics! 🏆✨
A huge congratulations to:
Yasmin, Defne, Frieda, Lily, Jayda, Megan, Paromita, Vesa and Lucia.
We couldn’t be prouder of our brilliant students – true stars of the future! 🌟
