Melissa's big swim for The Christie Help Melissa Fitzpatrick raise money to support The Christie
Have you been affected by cancer in any way, or are you sensitive to this cause? Join us to be part of a new society with high growth potential and real impact.
Do you really want to keep on watching this disease beating us, or want to stand up and fight back? We are a group of students who have had enough of this widespread disease and have created "King's Takes On Cancer". We need your help to join our efforts and participate in building a strong and cohesive team. Our purpose is to raise funds for the benefit of Cancer Research UK, who, themselves, fun

We have decided to partner up with Maggie's Centres this year, in order to provide a more personal and involved support during these times of hardship.
Maggie’s is a charity that focuses on all types of cancer, which is very important to us, as we don’t want to discriminate or divide people with cancer. Furthermore, they focus on support for people with cancer as well as their relatives and loved ones. During this time, we think it is extremely important to make sure people are confident with their treatment options and are aware of ongoing trials, as well as kept aware about COVID-19 risks.
Maggie’s provides free support to anyone worried about having cancer or having to take care of someone with cancer. The support they provide can be emotional or practical and this is why we felt so connected to their cause.🎗
Can’t wait to see you all tomorrow at the virtual freshers fair!!
Just a reminder, our slot is 2.00-2.15, so join earlier so you don’t miss out. For those who can’t make it, feel free to use the live chat to ask questions, or we’ll be happy to answer any enquirires if you dm the Instagram page, ktoc_society.
