I am starting to plan my sessions for the summer and the next academic year and am now open to bookings for new students. If you are studying A level or GCSE Chemistry and need some support I can help.

At this time of year, young people are just completing their end of year exams and these often highlight issues. It's particularly important for those wishing to apply to university next year, when predicted grades are imminent.

Whether you need a few confidence boosting sessions or longer term support, I use my experience to help students identify the barriers and we work together to overcome them.

As the exams approach, I want to wish all my tutees the very best of luck. You have worked hard throughout our time together and it has been a pleasure to help you on your respective journeys and see you make such amazing progress. I am here if you need any advice and you know you can always ask if you hit a problem whilst working independently too. In the coming weeks, we will continue to focus on exam techniques, helping you to delve into your chemistry tool box and use the right tools to answer the questions effectively.

You have all worked extremely hard and should be proud of your achievements thus far.

Massive congratulations to all my A level tutees. I am so proud of your achievements. Every one of you got into your first choice uni. It was a pleasure to be able to support you on your journey over the past year. Best wishes for the future.

Last Friday was the final A level Chemistry exam of the season so it's time for my tutees and I to take a well earned rest. It's been an absolute pleasure to support all my students through their final year and every one of them have excelled beyond expectations to develop into confident Chemists. Well done! You can all look forward to the August results day in the knowledge you have tried your very best!

Looking forward to September, places are filling rapidly and I only have a few spaces remaining. So if you think you might need some extra support, now is the time to get in touch so we can discuss your needs and hold a place for you.

I am offering some limited sessions over the summer holidays for anyone who needs an introduction to AS chemistry or perhaps needs some preparation for improving predicted UCAS grades.

Please get in touch if you wish to discuss further.

Spring term often brings the pressure of mock exams and, for Year 13 students, the anticipation of UCAS offers. It’s a pivotal time, and the road ahead can feel overwhelming. That’s where a tutor can make all the difference.

I don’t just teach extra content—I create a safe, supportive space for students to tackle challenges head-on, build confidence, and overcome barriers to success. My approach has consistently delivered exceptional results, with over 70% of my A-Level students achieving A* and A grades year after year.

If you or your child could benefit from tailored support to reach your full potential, I’d love to help. Send me a DM, and let’s make this your best term yet!

Now its half term, parents of Year 11 and 13 may be wondering how much work their child should be doing? These crucial years are a balance between concerted effort in the run up to the exams but maintaining mental well-being and having time to re-charge. October half term is a time to identify and fill in any gaps that may have arisen during the previous year.

If you are able to return to school with a list of topics for your teachers, this will help them provide you with the missing content. Alternatively, why not bring the list to someone like me, who can go through in more detail? If you think your child would like some booster time, please get in touch. It may only take one or two lessons to provide them with the information they need to help them feel confident they have covered the course content.

Calling all students and parents who are studying A level Chemistry.

As we approach half term, students in year 12 are now fully inducted into their chosen courses. By now the content of classes will be in full swing and students are getting to grips with the greater demand of A levels.

Some students might be feeling a little lost an unsure and have found there are gaps in their knowledge from previous studies. If you are in this position, you might like to consider a little extra help outside the classroom. This is where some private tutoring comes into its own.

I can help give confidence and find the gaps so we can start to fill them. By building confidence, students start to re-engage in their school classes. Filling the gaps helps students access the new content delivered by their teachers and helps to embed previous learning. It's a win win for everyone.

If you would like to find out more, and want to consider Chemistry tutoring, please get in touch.

To the class of 24. Good luck as you head off to university. Your hard work and dedication means you are in a great place to start your chosen courses. Remember to keep using the success skills you developed during your studies, they are as valid now as during your time at school. All the best, and don't forget to check in at times and let me know how it's all going. Looking forward to hearing your stories.
