Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus yng Ngholeg Sir Gâr Public Services at Coleg Sir Gâr

Llongyfarchiadau heddiw i'n myfyrwyr Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus (Blwyddyn 2, Lefel 3) wrth iddynt dderbyn eu tystysgrifau gan y National Talent Academy ar gyfer y Wobr Lefel 3 mewn Sgiliau Gwaith Hanfodol, sydd wedi'u cwblhau ganddynt. Ar gyfer y cymhwyster hwn, bu'n rhaid iddynt gwblhau cyfres o fodiwlau a ddatblygodd eu sgiliau trosglwyddadwy ym meysydd Adnoddau Dynol, Marchnata, Arwain Timau, Gwerthu, Gwasanaeth Cwsmeriaid a Chyllid.

Congratulations today to our Level 3 year 2 Public Services students as they received their certificates from the National Talent Academy for the Level 3 Award in Essential Work Skills they have completed. For this qualification they had to complete a series of modules that developed their portable skills in HR, Marketing, Team leadership, Sales, Customer Service and Finance.

Due to the Met Office Red Weather Warning for extreme heat, our Coleg Sir Gâr Open Evening has been postponed. The safety of our learners, visitors and staff remains our priority. A new date will be confirmed soon.

The Coleg Ceredigion Open Evenings on Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June will continue as planned.

Ddoe cawsom y pleser o gynnal ein seremoni wobrwyo Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus flynyddol i ddathlu cyflawniadau ein dysgwyr. Mae wedi bod yn daith lawn cyffro yn llawn dysgu, twf ac ystod amrywiol o brofiadau o fewn a thu hwnt i waliau'r ystafell ddosbarth. Roedd ddoe yn ymwneud â phob un o'n dysgwyr. Llongyfarchiadau iddyn nhw i gyd - maen nhw wedi ein gwneud ni'n hynod falch.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting our annual Public Services prize ceremony to celebrate the achievements of our learners. It has been an action-packed journey filled with learning, growth and a diverse range of experiences both within and beyond the classroom walls. Yesterday was about every single one of our learners. Congratulations to them all - they have made us incredibly proud.

Yn ddiweddar, cynhaliodd ein myfyrwyr Lefel 3 gyfweliadau swydd ffug fel rhan o'u huned cynllunio gyrfa. Mae'r cyfle hwn yn cynnig profiad amhrisiadwy iddynt a chyfle i gael adborth gan y personél gwasanaeth cyhoeddus y maent yn cael eu cyfweld ganddynt. Diolch yn fawr i'r cynrychiolwyr o Heddlu Dyfed-Powys, Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub CGC / MAWW Fire and Rescue a'r Llu Awyr Brenhinol a oedd yn rhan o'r broses.

Our Level 3 students recently undertook mock job interviews as part of their career planning unit. This opportunity offers them an invaluable experience and a chance to gain feedback from the public service personnel that they are interviewed by. Many thanks to the representatives from Dyfed-Powys Police, Gwasanaeth Tân ac Achub CGC / MAWW Fire and Rescue and Royal Air Force that were involved.

Not only a father/daughter partnership but two Coleg Sir Gar Public Services alumni!

🚨 The ultimate response father/daughter duo!

Yesterday, Superintendent Chris Neve stepped back onto the frontline, but this time, he was side by side with his 19-year-old daughter, PC Abi Neve.

Abi grew up hearing her dad's policing stories and wanted to follow in his footsteps; often imagining how rewarding it must be to help others in need. Abi said:

“Before work that day, he was just my dad, but as soon as our shift began, he became my boss and my colleague. He has always looked after me since I was born, so it was nice for me to be able to have his back, if needed, for a change."

It’s a moment Chris had been looking forward to, he added:

“The fact that we’re father and daughter dealing with victims’ side by side, I could see it brought a lot of comfort during those difficult situations out on response.

“There are times you wonder if she’s too young but she’s holding her own. I’m very proud of the woman she has become, and I look forward to hearing more of her stories throughout her career.”

For both Chris and Abi, it’s a shift that will stay with them long after ends 💙
