New Summer school menu launching this week 🍽️🌞

A brand-new summer menu will be available in all primary and special schools from the week beginning 1 June.

Designed with your children in mind, the menu offers more tasty, balanced meals while supporting new healthy eating guidelines coming later this year.

What’s new? Your child will benefit from:
✅ A daily main meal plus a vegeta***n option
✅ More hot alternatives like pasta bakes and jacket potatoes
✅ More locally sourced Welsh ingredients
✅ Extra fresh fruit and vegetables
✅ A wider range of vegeta***n dishes

We hope these changes will give children more choice and make school meals even more enjoyable 😋

Llanedi School was the last of the 3 schools in the ward to receive support with their outdoor project, and it has been a real pleasure to engage with the schools and plant alongside the pupils, the children’s enthusiasm was fantastic. I’m very pleased that the Community Council could support the projects. Thank you for such a warm welcome!

Ysgol Llanedi oedd yr olaf o'r 3 ysgol yn y ward i dderbyn cefnogaeth gyda'u prosiect awyr agored, ac mae wedi bod yn bleser mawr ymgysylltu â'r ysgolion a phlannu ochr yn ochr â'r disgyblion, roedd brwdfrydedd y plant yn wych. Diolch i Ashley (Rheolwr Cymuned a Llesiant Cyngor Cymuned Llanedi) am ddod i blannu gyda'n disgyblion! Mae'r Cyngor Cymuned wedi bod yn garedig iawn, ac wedi rhoi rhai planhigion ar gyfer ardal allanol yr ysgol.

Thank you to Ashley (Community and Wellbeing Manager for Llanedi Community Council) for coming to do some planting with our pupils! The Community Council have kindly donated some plants for the school’s outdoor area.
