We set off on a wild woodland wander today, spotting and collecting brambles ready for some wonderful nature art! 🌿🎨

We picked the berries, crushed them up and got creative, using the bramble bushes to paint with our very own natural purple “paint”! 💜

So many opportunities for developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and creativity — all while having fun outdoors and exploring what nature has to offer! 🌱

Our little learners absolutely loved today’s nature adventure, and it was definitely a success… with lots of little purple tints appearing on hands, clothes and faces to take home and share the story of the day! 🥰💜

What a lovely, messy, creative outdoor adventure! 🍂✨

My little C is not only a fabulous pre-schooler now, but also a beautiful big sister! 🌟💕

I was very lucky to enjoy those precious newborn scrunch snuggles with baby A today!🥰✨

First day of our new term here at Childminding by Sam, and what a day full of amazing milestones! 🥰🌟

Little C has started his childminding journey with us, and what a beautiful first day he’s had — full of smiles, happy babbles and lots of exploring! 🥰

Little J has officially been promoted to Pre-School, continuing his ELC placement here at Childminding by Sam. He’s such a fantastic role model and I’m so proud of how far he has come! 🌟

And then, completely unexpectedly, a little surprise at the door… my little H standing so proudly in her school uniform after her very first day of Primary One! 🥹❤️ I was absolutely delighted to see her, especially with a bonus hug and hearing all about her very first day! 🥰

So many amazing milestones celebrated here at Childminding by Sam today, and I couldn’t be prouder of all my little superstars! 🌟

And of course, thank you to my primary 1 school superstars for sharing their photos with me! 😃📸

It’s this time of year again, and I’m officially on an emotional rollercoaster! 🥹❤️

I’m so incredibly proud of all my little ones who are getting ready to set off to Primary One, but at the same time, I’m heartbroken that it marks the end of their early years with Childminding by Sam.

I feel so incredibly lucky to have families travel from all over West Lothian to have me as their childminder. But the downside is that their journey with me comes to an end when they head off to school — and honestly, I wish I could freeze time and keep them little and close by forever! 🥹

My little trio, A, H & N, all had their last days with me this week. We’ve had the BEST times together, and there have been lots of extra cuddles, snuggles, love and probably a few more emotional moments than I’d like to admit! ❤️

Then tonight I came online to find some absolutely amazing reviews, and honestly, they’ve made my sore heart this week feel so much better. It makes every emotional goodbye so worth it.

I never want to be anything more than a safe, happy and loving place for children and their families — a place for childcare, play, learning, growing and making the most wonderful memories. 🥰

Thank you so much for choosing Childminding by Sam and for trusting me to share such a special part of your little ones’ early years. It really is the biggest privilege. ❤️

One of the best things about childminding is having children of different ages learning and growing together. ❤️

Our superstar H, who’ll be heading off to school this year, has been helping little C find the confidence to tackle the big grass hill slide.

It only took two goes with H holding her hand, and before we knew it, C was happily climbing up and sliding down all by herself! 🥰

These little moments of encouragement, friendship, and growing confidence are so special to watch. 💕
