On Saturday 11th April, NLA were invited to present at the annual The Classical Association conference in Manchester. Mr Mooney and Mr Bartlett were joined by students Reda (Y10) and Marlena (Y9) to present on the implementation of Classics and Latin at NLA 🏛
Reda and Marlena were particularly impressive in sharing their experiences of Classics & Latin and the doors that it has opened for them. This presentation was delivered to academics, pedagogical experts and fellow teachers across the North West.
Many came to congratulate Reda and Marlena on their presentation and they were undoubtedly the stars of the show. Well done to both for representing the school in such a brilliant way.

We are pleased to share that Year 10 student, Dahud, will have his writing published in the Stranger Sagas Myths Awaken anthology as part of the Young Writers Creativity Award 📖
The Young Writers competition challenged students to write a complete story in just 100 words, inspired by prompts such as unexplained lights in the sky, magical encounters with strangers, strange curses, or finding yourself somewhere unknown.
This was work he submitted to the English house competition, which was then submitted online. Congratulations, Dahud, on this outstanding achievement!
