We’re exploring books this half term and finding out about the authors who wrote some of our favourite books.
Julia Donaldson is already a great favourite and known to the children.
Yesterday we enjoyed Judith Kerr’s The Tiger Who Came to Tea and Mog.

Our Easter Bonnet Parade ‘26.
So many thank yous to say to all the committee members who helped set up the hall and parents and grandparents to rolled their sleeves up to put tables and chairs out.
The Pre-Schoolers were rightly proud of their creations and held onto their hats tightly as we walked over to school.
The bonnets were amazing 🤩
We sang chick chick and Little Peter Rabbit and enjoyed an enormous amount of cake 🧁🥰

Spring is almost here at Pre-School. There are information books, posters, the ever popular Hungry Caterpillar and and assortment of little frogs and insects to talk about ( not real). 😁
Parkgate Pre-School is a term time setting. We’re open 8.50am-3.20pm Monday to Friday.
We currently have a few places available for two year olds and also three and four year old children.
If you would like to come and see our setting please phone to arrange a visit.
Our sessions are child led. As the children settle with the help of their key person the children investigate and explore their surroundings.
Each area in Pre-School is ready for the children to play. Toys are at child height and resources are available to foster an ‘I can do it myself’ attitude. Of course we will help should the children need it. 😁
Our garden is lovely. We have toys suited for two year olds and offer a range of sit in and sit on vehicles. As the children grow and develop strong legs we have pedal powered and balance bikes available with helmets to begin the excitement of riding a bike.
Have a look at our website for funding and sessional fees.

More amazing water play this afternoon. There were pipettes to help build strength in the hands, various toys for floating and brilliant language including tipping and sinking.
Bubbles were added then red colouring to change the colour of the water. There was a lot of thinking. Thanks Jo. 😁

Love our display. All the children help. This half term they have printed stars, made abstract planets after looking at the colours on a real globe.
Some children have helped to make an enormous rocket 🚀 some have made smaller ones.
One little boy told me he lived on planet Earth. 🥰
One of our little girls has been dreaming about astronauts and the moon. 🥰
