Such an excellent day in the studio yesterday 🙌

We had Studio Gobo back with us for a full day working directly with our devs—and this is exactly what makes TGA different.

No big lecture theatres. No passive learning.
Just hands-on discussions around game dev, real workflows, and industry expectations.

This session was all about our programmers, with Michael and James (Senior Engineers & a Studio Gobo founder) sharing their experience, giving feedback, and seeing first-hand the progress since their last visit in November. That kind of continuity is where real growth happens.

It’s been a busy few days at TGA with so many great visitors through the studio, and we want to take a moment to recognise and thank all of our studio partners who have supported us throughout the year. Your time, insight, and commitment have played a huge role in shaping the experience for our students.

Partnerships like Studio Gobo—and many others we’re proud to work with—are incredibly important to us. We don’t take them for granted. Together, we’re building a talent pipeline that genuinely works, for both students and studios.

Such an incredible event for our students and something we will be bringing to the UK next year. Exciting times. Well done to the students, staff and studios involved.

What an awesome day! Maddie from dropped in today to share her expertise on portfolios, job hunting, and reaching our full potential. As a Senior Environment Artist with an impressive array of games in the bag, we're stoked to have had her visit. Also a genuine .

🎮 THIRD PROJECT = LEVEL UP

Honestly… this one’s about the students.

3 months in.
2 games already delivered.
Now they take on something big—building a game in a custom engine.

No YouTube tutorials.
No pre-existing documentation.
No ready-made pipelines.

Just teamwork, resilience, and a lot of problem-solving.

And they stepped up.

⏱️ 10 weeks to deliver:
• 41h pre-production
• 41h alpha
• 82h beta
• 41h polish

Everything built from the ground up—systems, workflows, the lot.

What stands out isn’t just the final games… it’s how these teams worked:
🔥 Supporting each other
🤝 Playing to their strengths
💡 Solving problems they’ve never seen before

This is where you really start to see high-performing teams form.

Proud of what they’ve achieved—and even more excited for what comes next.

Next up: post-mortems… then straight into the next challenge.

🚀 We still have limited spaces available for September 2026.
If you’re ready to start your journey into game development—programmer, designer, or artist—get in touch.
