We would like to wish all of our wonderful A Level and BTEC students the very best of luck ahead of Results Day tomorrow! 🎓✨

📢 Important reminders:

• Results can be collected from 9.00am.
• Please enter school via Main Reception.
• Results will also be available on Arbor from 10.00am.
• Our KS5 Leadership Team will be on hand throughout the morning to support students with UCAS Clearing, university applications and alternative Post-18 pathways.
• MPLOY Careers Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) advisers will also be available from 9.00am to offer support and advice.

🎊 🗺️ South Wirral High School was transformed into a vibrant celebration of diversity and global learning as students immersed themselves in Culture Day 2026. The day showcased our commitment to celebrating the many cultures, also working with the Anthony Walker Foundation to celebrate diversity within communities.

Students enjoyed an exciting programme of interactive workshops and activities, including a Chinese Dragon Dance performance, energetic West African drumming, and creative sessions exploring Aboriginal dot art, Chinese garden design, First Nations-inspired watercolours, and Welsh art and culture. Pupils also designed cultural flags and bunting representing their heritage, contributed to collaborative mosaics and murals, and took part in language tasters from around the world. 🪘 🪭🎨

Across the curriculum, every subject embraced the spirit of the day. Students explored Roman numerals and Islamic art in Mathematics, discovered global scientific achievements, examined how different cultures have shaped history and geography, compared the musical Hamilton with historical events, investigated famous landmarks through Technology, and even sampled flavours from around the world at our Global Food Festival. Sporting traditions were celebrated through golf-themed activities inspired by The Open Championship, while a whole-school Culture Day quiz encouraged teamwork and curiosity. ⛳️ 🥘 🎭

The event was a fantastic opportunity for students to broaden their horizons, celebrate different traditions and identities, and appreciate the rich diversity that strengthens our school community. From music and art to science, languages and food, Culture Day was a memorable celebration of learning beyond the classroom and a powerful reminder that everyone belongs at South Wirral High School. 🗺️ 🎊

Last week, we held our 2026 Oracy Scholar Championships Final, where talented Year 7 and Year 8 students took to the stage to present to their peers and judges in the hope of being crowned champion. 🎙️

After progressing through highly competitive semi-final heats, our finalists demonstrated exceptional confidence, ambition, determination and respect throughout the competition. Year 7 students delivered speeches on a topic that was important to them, while Year 8 students spoke about an inspirational figure linked to our school values.

A huge well done to everyone who took part—you should all be incredibly proud of your achievements! 👏
