π Spreading a Little Easter Joy π
Every year, our amazing team comes together to donate Easter eggs for children who, unfortunately, will be spending Easter in hospital.
Weβre proud to share that this year we've collected over 186 Easter eggs, each one a small gesture to help brighten a childβs day and bring a smile during a difficult time. π£π
A huge thank you to everyone who donated. Your kindness truly makes a difference.
Wishing all the children, families, and hospital staff a warm and hopeful Easter. π·β¨

This week, we delivered our new and updated incident command course at the Education Centre at Bromborough.
The course was delivered by Toby Mcclane, Ian Conway, and George Meloy, each with diverse experience from their emergency services backgrounds, with the learning content focused on risk and incident management at varying levels and severities.
George delivered several sessions covering a range of topics relating to counterterrorism and policing large-scale events, as well as the application of public safety and counterterrorism considerations and management strategies for incidents, events and venues. A highlight of this aspect of the course was a visit to Everton Football Club to meet with David Lewis, who gave us a tour and discussed event safety and security measures at the stadium.
Ian delivered several sessions covering a range of topics relating to pre-hospital care, NHS Ambulance response and capabilities. This coordination and collaboration are not only essential for effective incident management and patient care, but also for seamless handover and ongoing incident management between the NHS and other pre-hospital care resources.
The students were able to practise applying the knowledge, skills and strategies in a series of tabletop and practical exercises facilitated by the faculty who acted as Advisors and ensured the consolidation phase was an invaluable learning experience for the group.
The Tabletop Exercises involved interacting and working with NHS Ambulance Service, HM Coastguard, Fire & Rescue Service, Police and Local Authorities to give an appreciation of joint working.
Well done to all the Spark Medical students who passed the course. Thank you to everyone involved, and for the feedback on this first delivery.
We will be refining the content and adding faculty to continue delivering Clinical Excellence through Education.

At moments like these, our thoughts are with everyone affected by the recent incident involving Hatzola ambulances in London.
Our emergency service colleagues work tirelessly to protect and care for our communities, and any situation that threatens their safety is deeply troubling.
At Spark Medical, we stand shoulder to shoulder with Hatzola and the wider emergency response community. As a neighbouring provider close to the scene of the fire, we immediately offered our full support β including access to our ambulances, equipment, and office space β to help ensure uninterrupted care for those who need us most.
Events like this highlight the true strength of our sector: collaboration, resilience, and unwavering commitment to one another.
We remain dedicated to supporting our colleagues and our community in every way we can.
