⏰ Extra Time in Exams ⏰️

Attention parents πŸ“£ is your child entitled to extra time in examinations? This could be for varying reasons such as dyslexia, ADHD or any other SEND.

If your child is entitled to extra time in exams, this absolutely MUST be applied to every single mock or in-house assessment across ALL subjects. Your child should be practicing how to utilise this extra time they are given, it is there for a reason!

Speak to your school’s SENCO for further support and advice regarding access arrangements πŸ’™

Alongside my specialism in English (QTS), I am an experienced SEND teacher with extensive knowledge of supporting children with a wide range of additional needs, including, but not limited to:

β€’ ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
β€’ ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)
β€’ Dyslexia and Dysgraphia
β€’ Sensory Processing Disorder
β€’ MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)

I am equally passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), which may include:
β€’ EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
β€’ ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences)
β€’ ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder)
β€’ Anxiety

I can offer both academic support and guidance for families navigating SEND and SEMH needs, as well as signposting to relevant agencies for further diagnostic or specialist support. Above that, I am always a listening ear as I know how difficult the system can be for you and your child.

With a breadth of experience across PRUs, SEMH settings, and mainstream schools, I have developed the skills to tailor my approach to meet the needs of every learner, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and able to achieve their potential.

πŸ“© Please feel free to get in touch for more information about how I can support your child’s learning journey.

Hi,
I have had lots of messages this week after such a successful year last year. Unfortunately I am not taking on any pupils at the moment as I am still on maternity leave with my twinnies πŸ’•πŸ’™. I am due to return back to work in January, and I will open my books back up then in time for GCSE season. It’s been heartwarming to see how many messages were from personal recommendations. Thanks again 🫢🏻

Hi,
As most of you are aware I have had to take early maternity leave due to the complications of a twin pregnancy! With the countless hospital appointments, iron transfusions, sickness and exhaustion - it has all caught up on me. I will be back posting upon my return from maternity & on the other side as a Mummy of 3! Thanks for all your support & custom over the past year it means a lot. I will miss all my lovely pupils & wish them the very best on their future endeavours πŸ’–πŸ’™ xx
