🌞Summer Fun Day Reminder! 🌞

Just a reminder that our Summer Fun Day is taking place this Saturday!

We have lots of exciting activities planned. Come and enjoy face painting, creative crafts and inflatables for bouncing fun. Meet some amazing creatures in our reptile room.

We're keeping our fingers crossed for sunshine, but if the weather has other ideas, don't worry! We have a backup plan and will move the event inside to the Church and Nursery sites.

Messy hands, busy builders, curious minds and LOTS of smiles!

The children have been exploring, creating and learning every single day - while the staff leave covered in glitter, flour, paint and a little bit of chaos too! It’s all in the name of FUN! 😂

🐝World Bee Day🐝

This week the children in New Ferry have been celebrating a wonderful creature... the bee.

We have been learning about how bee's contribute to our food and eco-system, looking at ways we can support the bee by planting more bee friendly flowers and plants and have been taking part in creative activities to showcase our love of the bee!

Fostering an understanding of nature and how we can support eco-system is important for children to develop respect, care and empathy.

💚Mental Health Awareness Week 2026💚

This week in New Ferry we have been learning about the importance of looking after ourselves and doing things that bring us joy, calm and a sense of peace as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

The children and staff have been dressing up in a calming green colour, have spent lots of time outdoors connecting with nature through scavenger hunt and physical activities. We have been exploring the colour green through painting, collages and building blocks. We have also taken part in a calming and connecting massage session.

We hope you manage to find time to relax and look after your own mental health.

♥St George's Day⬜

To mark St Georges Day the children in our Pre-School have been creating their own England flags. The children explored the cross pattern and used a variety of tools to create marks.

The children enjoyed sharing the story about George and his dragon.

🌍Earth Day🌍

The children have been learning about the Earth and things that grow this week. We have been talking about the importance of taking care of the Earth by watering the plants, flowers and providing food for the ecosystem. The children have created their own representations of the Earth using paint and natural materials.

🌷Spring has Sprung🌷

The children in New Ferry have been learning about spring. We have been exploring the concept of an egg and how it contains baby animals. We have been creating our own representations of those animals using paint and collage materials and have been creating some tasty treats in time for Easter.

Teaching the children about the cycle of life and the importance of the seasons is vital in enabling a connection to the world around them.
