The British Society of Prosthodontics (BSSPD) is the premier specialist Prosthodontic Society in the UK and was founded in 1953.

The BSSPD is the UK's premier professional Prosthodontics Society and comprises of professional clinicians of all ages and experience ranging from undergraduate dental students to Specialist Hospital Consultants and Academics. The worldwide membership is approaching 500, and the society is always actively pursuing new members who have an interest in Fixed, Removable, Implant or Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.

We are pleased to release our fourth on-demand webinar by Dr Charlotte Stilwell: "Strategic use of single implants as abutments for removable partial dentures".

This on demand webinar aims to explore the role of strategically placed implants for reducing functional limitations and increasing acceptance of removable partial dentures (RPDs).

Dr. Charlotte Stilwell is a specialist prosthodontist with three decades of experience in private referral practice in Harley Street, London. Her undergraduate dental training at the Royal Dental College in Copenhagen was followed by five years of postgraduate study and lectureship at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. Her early career also included nine years in general practice in West Wickham, Kent. Currently, Dr. Stilwell serves as a senior lecturer at the University Clinic of Dentistry in Geneva, Switzerland. She holds advisory and examination roles in implant dentistry and prosthodontics at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr. Stilwell is also the immediate past president of the ITI International Team for Implantology.

James Tsoi is speaking on ''Generative AI in Prosthodontics". Professor James Tsoi is an Associate Professor in Dental Materials Science and Assistant Dean (Innovation) at HKU Faculty of Dentistry. James is actively engaged in a number of research areas including: Dental materials science, smart manufacturing, digital dentistry and AI. He has authored more than 170 peer-reviewed journal articles, published and granted 10 patents, graduated 44 MSc and 13 PhDs, and been awarded 8 times internationally. He is currently the President of IADR-Dental Materials Group, Member-at-large in the Academy of Dental Materials, and Hong Kong head-of-delegate in ISO/TC 106 (Dentistry).
