About the Role
We are looking to appoint two candidates for September 2019 to work on 1:1 basis with child to support inclusion, academic and independence based learning goals. Full and on-going training will be provided throughout the time in post on a bi-weekly basis. 0.4 FTE, Term time only 13 hours per week in total. (2 days) 0.6 FTE, Term time only 21.5 hours per week in total. (3 days) We are looking for a person who is:
• Supportive of the inclusive ethos of the school
• Experience of working within a mainstream setting supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis
• Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs essential
• Familiar with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Genuine in their desire to work with children
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, with a sense of humour
• Flexible and adaptable
• Able to work within a team
• Able to set high expectations for themselves and children
Personal Qualities
Experience of working within an ABA framework would be desirable but not necessary with the understanding that further training and supervision is part of the role. Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent professional qualification.
