What's happening old friends? It's been a while since I was last here...
See what happened was, a few years ago many worlds crumbled at once. Unbalanced working habits led to health problems, mentally and physically, and this happened around the same time as my laptop and hard drives being stolen while I was on tour; Yes I had a back up, and yes they took that too...
Essentially I was put out of business over night and I did not have the energy to fight for it.
So life is different now, and i'm happy that things ended up like they did but 4 years on i'm still without the majority of my portfolio. Every photograph I'd ever taken, videos i'd produced, poems and blog posts i'd written, jam sessions i'd recorded, the lot, gone. I know most of you know how that feels to some degree.
So I have a request in an attempt to restore what is lost:
If we have ever collaborated, if you have ever hired me, if you have attended any of the workshops i've ever delivered, if you've been a student, a client, a friend, an audience member, a mentor to me, if you have ever published any of my work or attended one of my exhibitions i'd love it if you could send me whatever photos, videos, documents, songs, blogs, recordings etc etc you have lying around, no matter the quality.
It would be good to catch up with you all in person, but where that isn't possible at very least I can fill the gaps in the digital world so it doesn't feel like so many hours of creation have been blown into the ether.
Sending love to all! Thanks x

In May 2015 we officially opened our dark room doors to the public and initiated a love affair with analogue photography at our soul home, Constellations. Building from the ground up we laboured with love to make the principles of image making more accessible to an eager and willing audience.
Now, after almost 2 years at our Baltic Triangle base we close our doors to the public and shape shift into the next phase of our story.
For this chapter we are working in partnership with YMCA Liverpool to launch DEVELOP; a project which begins deep in the underbelly of a city based hostel and gives the residents there exclusive access to a dark room facility.
We hope this project will bring a voice to those who have something to share.
Here is some more information about YMCA Liverpool and the work they do with vulnerable adults.

Just over a week ago we launched An Exhibition of Research by Vesta Hex - A body of work amassed over 18 months and 2 continents.
The artists third show of 2016 explores the ways we interact with photography.
All packaged prints in the exhibition are for sale at £1 / 100Y from The Second Hand Memory Vend.
For those unfamiliar with how to use the vending machine, here is a short video to explain things a little better.
An Exhibition of Research By Vesta Hex The Second Hand Memory Vend

The launch went well then...If you missed it, it's on until 8th October.
But we'd say sooner rather than later.
The Second Hand Memory Vend is a 16ft vending machine lining the right hand wall. Last night alone we lost 10% of the exhibition as people bought and took home their own new used memories.
Come early and prepared if you want a slice as the vending machine only takes £1 / Y coins and doesn't give change.

Summer at the studio is especially hard. Knowing that your required dose of Vitamin D is going elsewhere while you are in perpetual black and redness brings an unholy unwholesome, a sunshine sacrifice.
But that which lacks in colour doesn't age.
This April, Eclipse founder Vesta Hex spent a month in Japan on a journey of intuitive learning, research, exhibition and collaboration.
With an exhibition of her research coming up in September we thought it was about time we started kicking up a racket.
Here is series from the Just You & The Moon exhibit in Art n Shelter, Shinagawa, Tokyo.
Save the date: 22nd September.
More info to follow.
