It's the big day! As our floor is being laid from the guys at Screedit!
First the underfloor heating was mapped and installed and firmly fixed into place, before the guys took a giant mix of concrete into the laying tubes, and then poured onto the floor to raise it to the fixed height!
It was absolutely brilliant, it literally took less than 20 minutes! Just have to leave it for a while to dry before the guys can crack on with the rest of the build!
Just a quick update and tour of the workshop so you guys can be kept up with the progress!
We have packed up the floor with insulation, preparing for the underfloor heating to be laid on top of that and then finished off with some lovely liquid screed to completely level the floor off!
Can't wait to show the rest off and crack on with some online videos!

I have some incredibly sad news to share, Sydney the Bulldog unfortunately fell asleep and didn't wake up.
8 and a half years ago and yet it feels like just yesterday me and Laura picked her up and brought her home, as she was my wedding present to Laura, named after the city where i proposed.
She absolutely loved the kids and the kids loved her. She was a great dog and companion to our family.
Rest easy Sydney 💔🐾

Our little girl isn't so little now!

Queens of the world!
Quick boat trip before starting our holidays in Andorra!
In today's blog, this is a sneak peak about what we've been up to lately in and around our workshop!
We are completely transforming it from Mr and Mrs DIY HQ into a bungalow fit with disability access!!
So many of our online videos will be filmed in the space over the next few months, including a documentary style video of the renovation from the very start, including the actual construction that we did with Forterra for our Dream Build series!

We also go and see the top man himself Oliver Harrison OllyBlogs and give him loads of our old tree cuttings for his biomass feed! Very interesting stuff! I also have given him loads of stuff that he can use on his builds and around his farm, exciting!!

It's a very special day as it is mine and Laura's 8th year wedding anniversary!! Time flies eh!!
Since that time, we have had 2 beautiful children in Nelly and Lennon, built our dream home, adopted Sydney the Bulldog and now Snoop the Sausage, and are in the process of doing so many more fantastic projects together!
