Our EYFS children have been thinking all about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies at this time of year.

They have made some beautiful art using a variety of materials and loose parts.

We also made some yummy poppy biscuits.

We would like to invite parents, carers and the wider community to our ‘Leasowe Littlies’ baby and toddler group.

This is held every Wednesday 9.15-10.15am in our school hall and is for babies and toddlers 0-3 years.

We have lots of fun activities for your little ones, where we can play, learn and grow together.

We hope to see you next week on Wednesday 13th November.

Bonfire Night is a great time to celebrate a tradition in the UK and enjoy a firework and bonfire display in your local area. It is something that is celebrated by all ages and by lots of families at the beginning of November.

Today we have been learning all about bonfire night through a range of activities.

🎆We have been firefighters and the challenge was to put out the fire.
🎆 we have created some beautiful firework pictures.
🎆made our own sparkler’s using sparkly materials.
🎆we enjoyed making chocolate sparklers.
🎆Built our own bonfire and toasted marshmellows.

Our F2 children have been learning all about the season of autumn. Yesterday we were thinking about the wildlife in our area. Birds find it more difficult during the seasons of autumn and winter to find food. We made them some bird feeders and we went for a walk to hang them from the trees in our community.

We feel very proud to have been able to provide certain items needed for school to our pupils this term. The children have received new coats, book bags, water bottles, and PE kits. We think they look super smart ❤️

Our F1’s have been using the story of ‘The Colour Monster’ to think about their feelings and what makes them happy. They’ve had a wonderful day 💛

The children in F2 have been really busy this week in their Literacy sessions. We have started reading a new focus text ‘The Star in the Jar’ and this week have been thinking about the vocabulary in the story.

We have transferred this learning over to our creative area and come up with our own pictures based on the new words we have learnt- treasure, special, loved, glittery, shinier, tickly.

What brilliant literacy work F2 and beautiful art work too!
