But too often, the internal critic tries to run the show: overthinking, doubting, filling your mind with nonsense & noise.
Today, remember this: you are not that voice.
Awareness is your superpower. When you recognise the chatter, just pause, then separate yourself from it.
Every time you separate yourself from the negative intrusive thoughts, you take back control. ๐ช

Overthinking pulls you into endless โwhat ifsโ and future worries โ but most of them never happen. It steals todayโs peace for tomorrowโs problems.
Here are 3 ways to shift your headspace when your mind wonโt switch off:
โจ Ask yourself: โWhatโs true right now?โ
Instead of spinning in โwhat ifโ stories, anchor yourself to facts. This breaks the loop of imagined scenarios.
โ๏ธ Let your thoughts drift away like clouds
Close your eyes. Imagine each thought as a cloud in the sky. Watch it float past instead of clinging to it. The mind softens when you stop holding on.

๐ซ๐ Boundaries are important external representations of our values that help keep us safe emotionally and physically.
๐ช We must assert our boundaries and share them with others to protect our well-being and create healthy relationships.
๐ When our boundaries are disrespected and ignored, we may be left feeling anxious, sad, angry, or confused.
๐ค We can identify where we need to have boundaries in place by being aware of times we have been made to feel these emotions. As you identify the discomfort, you can label the boundary.
๐ช๐ Protecting our peace from being violated and our values from being compromised by external factors is important for our overall well-being, and it is within our power to do this. We all have a right to say no to situations that do not serve us.

๐ค Have you ever considered that failing doesnโt mean youโre a failure and that, actually, failing is for winners?
๐ช In order to fail, we must first try.
๐ฐ How many of us never find the courage to try in the first place because of the fear of failing?
๐ฏ Think about a goal you would love to achieve but have never put a plan in place because you become overwhelmed with the failed fear.
๐ Now shift your perspective and think about what is the worst that could happen? You fail? Congratulations! ๐ Youโre now one fail closer to success.
๐ง The next attempt has new experience and knowledge that you didnโt have previously!
๐ซ Remove the negative connotations associated with failing, and you also remove the limits on what youโre able to achieve, which, in turn, invokes enthusiasm and motivation to reach for the stars.

Have you ever thought ๐ง ย that you are the computer and the world ๐ around you programmes you without giving it a second thought? ๐ค
Our subconscious mind starts being programmed in the last trimester of being in the womb until we are around 7 years of age.
This is why children ๐ธ are like sponges, absorbing everything.
As we grow into our adult years our programming becomes more fixed. ๐ง
Think of everyday life as a form of conditioning where you are always learning ๐ฉโ๐ซ and adapting to new experiences and information, positive and negative.
Just like a computer can be programmed to perform certain functions and respond to certain inputs, you can also be programmed and conditioned through experiences, environment and social interactions to develop certain beliefs, habits and behaviours. โจ๏ธ
The way we are programmed in our early years is out of our control and could begin to hold us back in adulthood.
Just like a compute programme may have bugs๐ and need to be debugged or updated, a persons programming and conditioning can also be flawed and in need of change.
By having an awareness of what is already written on our hardrives we can pinpoint โ๏ธ what behaviours we want to change and create new habits to overwrite what doesnโt serve us.

Valentineโs๐นDay is known for being a celebration of love around the world. ๐
If you donโt have a romantic partner you can still find love ๐ in other forms.
The western traditions of love stem from the Greeks and there are four types.
โจEros, which is passionate love.
โจPhilia, the love of friends and family.
โจStorge, the love of parents for their children.
โจAgape, the love of mankind.
Taking the time ๐ to reflect ๐ชon the many forms of love we have in our lives is an uplifting practice.
Allowing yourself to experience the joy these relationships bring is incredible for your mental ๐ง well-being.

Hope is the light that illuminates your path ๐ through all of life's ups and downs ๐ข
It is the flicker of light๐ฏin the darkness โฅ๏ธ
Without hope, we would eventually cease to function and experience horrendous feelings of sadness, despair, and depression. ๐
Finding the courage to be strong takes faith in to the unknow, it takes strength, determination, and resilience.
Sometimes, you may not have certainty that things will improve, but it is important to have faith that there is a possibility for things to get better. ๐
Take a moment to think, take yourself back to a time when someone said something to you, something that touched your heart, something that inspires you right now to find a little HOPE to bring back eveb a little piece peace or rest bite.
Try to remember that hopelessness doesn't have to be your permanent state of mind ๐ง , you CAN regain HOPE. โจ๏ธ

HEDONISTIC TREADMILL
The hedonistic treadmill can be compared to a rollercoaster ride ๐ข.
You might be someone that is constantly chasing after external sources of happiness ๐, only to eventually return to your baseline levels of happiness ๐.
Just like the rollercoaster offers temporary thrills ๐คช, the chase for happiness through materialistic possessions ๐ฐ and status ๐ผ can lead to temporary highs ๐, which can be unhealthily for your well-being ๐งโโ๏ธ.
Finding balance between both internal and external sources is key for fulfilling and sustaining happiness ๐ฏ๐.
