Running these photos completely in-house is a massive milestone for our school and PTA, and it simply wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible Dovedale community.

We are beyond excited to announce that the first phase of Dovedale’s playground transformation - our brand-new MUGA pitch - is officially open! The playground has been buzzing, and the feedback from both students and staff has been incredible. We’ll be sharing some of their quotes and reactions with you very soon!

This project happened because of YOU. To everyone who volunteered their time, helped organise, or came along to support our Panto and our other recent fundraising events, from preloved uniform sales to bake sales - this pitch is your legacy. Your support has turned an ambitious plan into a reality for our children. Thank you! 🙏

But we aren’t stopping there! We are officially moving into Stage 2: raising funds for a second MUGA to sit right alongside this one, plus a range of other bits and bobs to transform playtime. ⚽🏀🏕️

Playground Transformation! 🏗️✨

Exciting news! Stage 1 of our multi-stage playground transformation is officially UNDERWAY! 🚧

This massive project is being funded by Dovedale PTA, and we want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated their time and money. A special shout-out to our incredible community for the £11,000 raised from our Panto - this was a massive contribution that has helped kickstart this first phase! 🎭🙌

We’ve listened to pupils’ designs and we’re turning their vision into a reality. This isn’t just a makeover; it’s an investment that will benefit playtimes, PE lessons, and after-school clubs.

Stage 1: The Sports Complex 🏆

- Two MUGA pitches to supercharge our sporting provision.

- A Teqball table for inclusive, high-energy fun.

What’s next? 🌿
Remember, this is only Stage 1! Future phases will include a Forest School-inspired zone for natural play and a brand-new climbing wall. We are creating a space that supports both the physical and mental wellbeing of every child. It really is an honour to be able to do this for our kids 💚

Thanks to the incredible dedication of over 80 parents, staff, and pupils since October, we have a record-breaking total to share…

Yes, you read that right! We’ve officially raised **£11.1K** to support arts, culture, enrichment, and equipment for every single child at Dovedale Primary! 💚

This year was our biggest and most diverse team yet, with 30 volunteers - from Liverpool, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, France and Germany - jumping on stage and in the band pit. Some for the first time ever!! 🎭 🎸 🎤

Together, they brought to life yet another incredible script from writer Jess Parker, with direction from Kate Treadell, musical direction from Candice Mulligan, and choreography from Gill Cody. Plus props from Susannah Rachel Gorman, and costumes from Sophie Butler 😍🤩 An epic group of Dovedale mamas!! 💪
