I wanted to share something about where I’ve been over the past few years and what’s been going on for me, during this time I’ve came out if a 14 year relationship, I lost three businesses in covid , failed numerous times and struggled to keep myself together emotionally , physically, financially etc for almost 3 years, this whole period was like a black hole of heavy emotions and darkness and luckily I am blessed to have had some close people check in and keep me moving and motivated throughout.

Now in hindsight (always 20/20 vision hindsight btw), I Feel absolutely grateful and blessed for all of the failures and pain as they wasn’t the issue, how I viewed and experienced said pain was the biggest issue, rather than witnessing the shedding of the old with grace, I was metaphorically screaming in agony and falling into victimhood desperately trying to survive and hold on to an old version of myself that was fading away.

During the past few years I’ve had a lot of personal growth through these testing times and I’ve had the biggest spiritual upgrade of my life & connected with more of my true tribe too, I won’t go into all of the details but let’s just say, it’s been wild !!

Now coming out the other end, I feel lighter (I’ve lost 3stone) I feel healthier , I feel grateful and I feel full of energy, I have amazing clients that I work with , helping conscious business owners to grow their companies with limitless thinking is an absolute blessing honestly.

I’m aligning with my purpose more and more closely each day and I’m following the signs of life on where I’m supposed to be and who with and I am enjoying every second of it.

Let me say these 3 things to anyone reading this who is going through a tough time right now:

1. Keep going, your in the s**t, I know it stinks
But it only keeps stinking if you sit still and don’t move through it!

2. If you need help, ask for it and it will be there.

3. trust that it’s all going to be worked out in the end.

Why Collaborative work is like an Ace up your sleeve?

Working with other people can be one of the most valuable experiences in both your personal and professional life.

Collaboration not only helps to expand your perspective and knowledge, but it also provides an opportunity for growth and development.

When we work with others, we can combine our unique skills, strengths, and perspectives to create something greater than what we could have achieved on our own.
This is true in many areas of life.

Whether it's in the workplace, in a community project, or in a personal endeavour, working with a coach, collaborating with others can lead to new ideas, better problem-solving, and increased creativity.

The value of a fresh set of eyes sometimes is all thats needed.
Moreover, working with others can help us build meaningful relationships and connections.

By sharing our experiences and learning from others, we can expand our network and build a support system that can help us navigate challenges and achieve our goals.

I sometimes imagine who were the first humans to collaborate on the planet and to what end?

You may have heard the story of Anthropologist Margaret Mead when asked by a student what she considered to be the first sign of civilization in a culture.

The student expected Mead to talk about fishhooks or clay pots or grinding stones.

But no. Mead said that the first sign of civilization in an ancient culture was a femur (thighbone) that had been broken and then healed.

Mead explained that in the animal kingdom, if you break your leg, you die.

You cannot run from danger, get to the river for a drink or hunt for food. You are food for prowling beasts.

No animal survives a broken leg long enough for the bone to heal.
A broken femur that has healed is evidence that someone has taken time to stay with the one who fell, has bound up the wound, has carried the person to safety and has tended the person through recovery.

Helping someone else through difficulty is where Civilization starts, Mead said.”

We are at our best when we serve others, when we Collaborate !
So,
the next time you have the opportunity to work with others, embrace it!

Whether it's a team project, a volunteer opportunity,a value exchange, a coach, a teacher, a guide or collaborating with a mentor, working with others can be a valuable and enriching experience that can lead to personal and professional growth all round.
